Have just returned from short break at Cleifiog Uchaf staying in the self catering Hen House designed for couples (+ dog!). Superb little cottage with a bathroom and bedroom to rival any luxury country house hotel. Lounge/conservatory and kitchen an added bonus if you avail yourself of the hotel facilities right next door. Restaurant was closed during our stay (something... More

A beautiful well restored place and to the highest of standards with the most comfortable rooms, but be prepared if you have any complaints, the owner will come back at you threefold. We had a poor experience in the restaurant to which we were told WE were the rude ones causing stress to a member of staff, one of which... More

I went there with my mother and sister for a meal, I like my staek well done, and although this was done it was still succulant and tender. The owner was good enough to show me the accommodation available, it was stunning! Definately a stay there is on my things to do list

I keep meaning to write this review as we have stayed at Cleifiog Uchaf twice now, once in one bedroom self catering apartment and once in the hotel. It is about 20 mins from the Anglesey Circuit so handy for track days as they don't mind bikes. On our last stay we ate in the restaurant where the food was... More

Have been a few times for a meal to the Cleifiog. Initially it was very good. The grounds and rooms and property are all first class. What lets it down are the staff.Iif you complain about anything they are blatantly rude and not appologetic for anything! Such a shame because it is a fabulous place. We waited hours for food,... We had a an amazing time at Cleifiog Uchaf. It's a great place to stay before catching the ferry to Dublin as it's minutes from the port. The staff are really welcoming and helpful and the rooms are beautifully appointed. The restaurant is fantastic and so reasonably priced - 3 courses each, 2 bottles of wine and an after dinner... We spent a lovely evening at Clefiog Uchaf, a restaurant which is on our doorstep. The building is most attractive and the drawing room, where we ordered our meal, is elegant and stylish. The dining room is more unusual, white furniture and a slate floor, much more contemporary than the drawing room - but it works. As for the food:... More

Not really a B&B as such, but restaurant with rooms or small hotel, with a delightful personal touch. It scores on so many levels. The building alone, with the story of it's rescue and rebuild and refurbishment as an oasis of calm is fascinating; with interesting ongoing projects in respect of the walled garden, small letting units and the grounds... what a delightful gem of a b&b, tucked away but just off the main Valley Road. the house had a calm atmosphere, as well as being very well presented. my room was very inviting and the bed so comfortable, with gorgeous linen. breakfast was yummy. i would recommend anyone visiting Anglesey to stay here.

We were here in May this year for my sister wedding. . The staff are super friendly - bending over backwards to help and advice with a thorough knowledge of the local area. The owners have done a fantastic job of restoring this Welsh long house into a delightful cozy retreat. The food is truly outstanding. I cannot recommend this... More
