Enjoyable stay, very peaceful and relaxing. Well furnished and serviced. Friendly staff and only a short distance from Manly and the city. Quiet and reflective setting rather than action-packed, resort-like.

I booked the Q Station to be close to Manly beach not realizing the place. It was a positive surprise as the place is beautiful. Panoramic view, beautiful private beach. But, dont go alone, it is a place to emotions.
Also, do not book Heritage Room unless you are ok to have Bath/Toilette outside of the room. It was cold...

The rooms are good, we tried 2 different ones and were satisfied. The bathroom is separate and you must remember a key while not locking yourself out, but is not really a problem otherwise. It was quiet when we were here and really peaceful..
The location of the rooms being so far from reception is a hassle, a logistic problem...

Dont get me wrong, the location of this place is great, its the deception in what their website says that I dont appreciate.
We stayed in a Harbour View Heritage Suite. P1 4 Harbour view, maybe above the large trees that are right across the front of this building. Definately nothing like what the pic on the website shows.
We...

Q Station is facinating due to its history and certainly a unique venue, great for conferences. Be prepared to walk long distances though, participlarly if you are required to park at the top car park. The loop shuttle takes ages so you do a lot of walking. Some rooms are great, others ordinary. Make sure you get one with an...

We spent a lovely Easter Weekend/ Babymoon at the Q Station Retreat. Close to the city and the bustling madness of Manly but set in a National Park on the beautiful Sydney Harbour.
The views were magnificent, the food at the Boilerhouse restaurant delicious (although a little pricey - $21 for 3 scallops?!?!) and the grounds were tranquil (partly because...

Stayed in a lovely heritage suite. The external bathroom was only a few steps from our door across a verandah. We had a bit of balcony with chairs overlooking the harbour, which was a great place to watch the sun set. The ghost tour was fun. The Boilerhouse restaurant was quite nice. The food at the Engine Room bar was...

History, unique setting, pretty good rooms but terrible transport around the complex. Leaving your car at the reception carpark is ok until you realize the rooms are a good kiletre away. A Station is meant to run a 'continuous loop' shuttle service but in reality it is anything but. We ended up walking several times as the bus was missing...

I stays four nights at Q station, using it as home base to explore Sydney's north beaches. The location was excellent for this, starting with Manly beach about 5 minutes away.
I had one of the Heritage rooms, which was a little smaller than regular hotel rooms, but still spacious enough and very comfortable. The room was nicely appointed and...

Q Station was really the highlight of a two week trip back to Australia. The views of Sydney's northern shores are worth every cent. We stayed for four nights - which included a magnificent thunder storm (thank for arranging that, Q Station!) that crackled all around us. The rooms are really nice and there is nothing nicer than sliding into...
