We dined at the Grand Hotel Healesville was a great choice for a Monday night meal. We chose the 2 courses for $30.00 option with a glass of wine included. First course was lamb shank soup. My husband thought it was the best soup he had ever eaten! It was delicious; a thick hearty soup almost a meal in itself.... More

We had the pleasure of visiting the Grand Hotel at Healesville for my son's 12th birthday. The service was exceptional, the food was great (my rack of lamb had to be seen and tasted to be believed) and the environment was ideal for both my situation with the family of for couples, groups etc. Overall I would thoroughly recommend The... My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at The Grand Hotel! The manager was very friendly and accommodating as were the staff including Kyle, the lovely security guard who was working when we had dinner and drinks in the beer garden. It was a fun a friendly atmosphere and a great place to go if you enjoy meeting... More

We visited the Grand Hotel Tuesday midweek for lunch. Very atmospheric traditional Aussie pub, with a nicely decorated restaurant section. Four adults, and four kids. Food was excellent, with great recommendations from the Fijian chef and service from the waitress. Lovely fresh oysters and cheese, followed by excellent main meals. I assume it has changed from the previous reviews, as... More

Decided on this hotel for lunch after viewing a menu of a hotel further down the street which had an outrageously prices wine list and a rather rude waiter. We were instantly made to feel welcome at the Grand and offered a choice of three places to sit ..the beer garden, the dining area or upstairs...we viewed all & decided... More

The food was reasonable - the barramundi was not enjoyed, though my partners whole flounder was quite nice. I had chicken stuffed with shellfish which was probably the best meal among the four of us, though my friend's lamb was also quite nice (though undercooked in parts). The service is amateurish, but pleasant enough, but the dining room with its... More

We recently visited beautiful Healesville. We decided to eat at the Grand Hotel. We were very dissapointed with our meals, of the four meals that we ordered the only one that was reasonably good was the parmigiana. Until then I had never eaten bad Barrumundi, my Husband's battered fish was swimming in oil. When he informed the waiter he wasn't offered... More

OMG, I thought things would have improved since the last review in 2007. I cannot explain how utterly bizarre this is. The windows (which do not close properly) open DIRECTLY onto the disco dancefloor. We cannot sleep so moved the thin blind to view the DJ. if we stretched our arms we could have touched him. It is literally like... More

When we were shown to our room in this hotel we saw immediately that things were bad. Two very basic single beds in a very pokey room, NO WINDOWS and a glass door opening onto a dance floor of a disco. We were told we would be sharing a bathroom with all the other rooms on that floor (about 10).... More
