I travel extensively for work, and have a pretty good handle on what to expect from the hotel star ratings. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. My family of 7 was driving back from Florida on Spring Break, and booked two rooms through Hotwire. I chose a 3 star hotel in an area that would be along the highway,... More

The hotel is very run down and is in SERIOUS need of updating - inside & outside. No breakfast of any kind the next morning. Our room had a horrible odor that smelled like burnt cigar - really bad. The mattress was uncomfortable and the sheets were very thin - very well worn out. The pillows seemed to be very... More

There is no direction sign show which way to found your room, which we end up spend over 5 minutes to search around all the way to the other side of the building to found our room. The back of the AC is on the hallway which cause hot air from the AC goes to the hallway and keeps the... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Magnuson hotel in Sweetwater, Tn and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room near the pool was clean and spacious. We found it very convenient to eat dinner right at the hotel and for a family of four, you can't beat free dinner!... More

My family and I stayed there on our way home in April. My parents stayed in the ajoining room. My husband and I with our 2 small kids stayed in the other room. The floor wasn't clean and there was old food or something around the beds. My husband was sitting on the bed with my 1 year old son... More

I want to thank this guest for bringing this problem to our attention. Upon investigation we found she was right and we agressively began treating this room and disposed of all the bedding. The problem is confined to one area and is being eradicated. I do wish to dispute the comment that I was rude because I have never been... More

Me and my was on a family vacation and was tired of driving, so we stopped here for the night( should of just kept driving). First off when we got to the room we took advantage of the pool so when I got back I wanted to wash the chlorine out of my clothes so I turned the sink on... More

My husband and I booked a one night stay at the Magnuson Hotel with the intention of maybe staying two nights. (To be honest I was excited about the opportunity of a nights sleep in a king size bed, having a queen size bed at home).Well a one night stay about did us in. We hurt so bad the next... More

My family and I stayed at the Magnuson on a recent trip across the Cherohala Skyway. The hotel options in and around the Skyway were very limited, and I have to admit that I didn't have high expectations for an inn in the mountains. The Magnuson exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was excellent and the... More

This is our third time to this hotel. The staff, the service, and the atmosphere is always good! You get free breakfast and dinner buffets with your room. Rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable. Plenty to do in the area including Sweetwater Valley Farm - where you can buy fresh cheese, the Lost Sea, flea markets and don't miss the... More

My wife and I only stayed here one night, but had no big issues with this hotel. Everything seem cleaned and in working order in our room. The few employees we saw were super friendly. It may have been the time of year but it was very empty and just felt kind of strange such a big place that empty.... More
