Lakeside Lodge was charming and perfect for our family get together, there were four of us which included our 87 year old dad. Virginia and John are welcoming and gracious hosts. The rooms reminded us of places we stayed when we were kids –not fussy, but very clean and comfortable. The fridge and sink in the kitchenette were nice to... More

We stayed here the night before a bike race at Reveille Ranch. The place was clean beyond all our expectations. We needed to leave early, so the small kitchen came in very handy, but they do cook breakfast if you want it.The beds vwere comfortable and the owners were great, able to recommend places to eat and things to do.... My husband and I spent our 45th wedding anniversary at Lakeside Lodge. Lest you think we are old, decrepit and sour, I will allay your fears by saying we are hale and hearty and love a good time. The Lakeside Lodge suited us to a tea. The views from the large deck with comfortable sitting areas looking out over the... More

We stayed at this lodge for a weekend family trip. The location is beautiful, yes, but it would be much more enjoyable if you were left alone to be with your family. It's all well and good that these people are friendly, but EVERY time we stepped out our door they were there wanting to engage in conversation. The dining... More

We love John and Virginia, they are like family after so many years! The location is so enjoyable being right on the lake and can watch the boats, birds, sunset and people! Boat dock very close! So peaceful and bluebonnets galore in the early spring! Festival is the second weekend of April! Try it you'll love it!

We almost didn't go, but I'm glad we did. What a great little place. My wife and I went for the July 4th weekend. We stayed out on the dock till well after midnight enjoying the fireworks all along the Lake Buchanan shoreline. What a spectacular show! That in itself would have made the stay worthwhile. But, the room was... More

There is a stove, but you can't cook. There is no microwave. AC was not adequate, Water on lake so far down, not fishing available, not that great a view. Rooms are very small, only shower, no bathtub. Very limited supplies, dishes, etc. Of course, not being able to cook explains that. People are nice, and breakfast was good, at... More

Business took me to Austin, TX. Business done, time on my hands, I drove to the Texas Hill Country, came through Burnet (50 mi. NW of Austin) and ended up on a beautiful scenic road (2341) heading toward Lake Buchanan. What I found was 'A little Gem', Lakeside Lodge, an absolutely wonderful Bed & Breakfast with a patio and view... More
