Ellen is awesome! My wife and I have twin babies and wanted to celebrate our 5th year anniversary close to home but far enough away to have a different surroundings. We went to the coppersmiths inn for the night in Galveston and was amaizied in the different themed rooms and the amaizing big country breakfast. Ellen and her mother were... More

I was looking for a B&B to have a college reunion and found the Coppersmith Inn. It was perfect, so I went by last July and thought I had made the reservation for 10 people for June 2013 with the understanding that I would keep the owner informed if I didn't need all the rooms. I gave her my credit... More

The moment we entered the Coppersmith Inn, we knew that we were "home" ! Its owner, Ellen Whaley is as welcoming and gracious as her beautiful Victorian house. The Rose Room was charming in its decor, the linen and the bed absolutely comfortable and the little extras that Ellen provides such as free coffee, sodas, bottled water, wine, peanuts, cookies,... The moment my three nieces and myself stood in front of this lovely, graceful Victorian we were captivated, all four of us! My nieces 13, 11, 9 were so happy to see that our quarters had a loft bed and a beautiful claw foot tub! When exploring the kitchen they found soda's and snacks, reading material and lots of games... My husband and I stayed at Coppersmith Inn during our vacation to Galveston from July 20 – July 25 ... one day more than we’d originally intended/planned. I cannot say enough about how fantastic this bed and breakfast is. I don’t know where to start. I cannot remember the last time I saw my husband as relaxed as he as... More

My husband and I stayed at the Coppersmith Inn B&B July 4-6, 2012, and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Coppersmith's "Carriage House", and found it to be very charming and comfortable. The owner/inn keeper, Ellen, keeps her establishment clean and in good repair, and prepares a fantastic breakfast. Her two Boston Terriers add a special touch, as they... More

My sister and 2 best friends spent the weekend in Galveston at the Coppersmith Inn. We reserved the carriage house because it would accommodate all four of us. It was the weekend of the Tour of the Homes and because all rooms of the house were reserved...Ellen said that she would not be able to feed us breakfast because there... More

We loved everything about our stay at The Coppersmith. The house is totally beautiful as is the whole quiet street in which it is located. It's an easy walk to both the old town and the beach. We stayed in the Carriage House which is situated behind the main house. It has to be the most spacious 'room' we have... More

This is one of the best bed and breakfast Ron and I have stayed at in Galveston! Ellen is a perfect host and a wonderful cook! We love her two dogs and the neighborhood is quite, but within walking distance to the beach. There is a great neighborhood restaurant right around the corner and of course 'The Strand' is not...
