If you want to live like a millionaire (if only for a few days) at a very modest cost and with a solicitous host, Casa Rama is the place for you in Harlingen. If you want a healthy (and unlimited in quantity and variety) breakfast as part of the deal, Casa Rama is also the place for you. The 1930-era... More

The host and family are extremely generous and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The house is unique and being able to use the kitchen an lounge was certainly a bonus, it felt like home. We spent 3 nights here and could have happily stayed longer. We stayed in Eleanor's room very clean and comfortable like the whole house The home... More

Beautiful place, perfect for a romantic getaway. The host was gracious, the food was wonderful, the overall experience was memorable. The location was perfect. The rooms were majestic and the decor was absolutely breath taking. We stayed in the lavender room. My now fiancee and I will return with plans to finalize our lives together.

Historical, eccentric, cozy, beautiful, warm. It's hard to summarize this home. It's a depression era mansion turned into a wonderful B&B. The furniture and the Rama collectibles add a unique comfort to the stay. There is a story behind them all which added to the warmth of our stay. As others have said, the Rama family are truly special people.... More

Casa Rama should be a museum. Luckily for us it is a bed and breakfast instead, and we enjoyed a one night stay in Eleanor's room. The stained glass windows and beautiful antiques bring to life the charm of bygone days. Dr. Rama was a sincere and gracious host, and helped us understand the history and many special features of... My mother and I went to Harlingen to check out the area's fall bird migrations. Looking for a place with a swimming pool, we had trouble finding something affordable that was not a motel chain without a soul. Then we tripped across this old mansion converted into a B&B. Casa Rama is a gorgeous house filled with comfortable antiques. Although... More

Great personalized service. Felt like a home away from home. The rooms are cozy and well appointed. Our hosts were most gracious and went out of their way to make our stay personalized. Very memorable experience. I highly recommend Casa Rama and look forward to staying here again.

My sister in law and I stayed at Casa Rama this past February and we loved it. Rooms are decorated so nice and beds were very comfy. The owners were awesome and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was so good.

My family found ourselves abruptly without a place to stay on South Padre Island and were so lucky to stumble upon this gem just 30 minutes away. The "mansion" as my children refer to it, houses some great stories and pieces of history and yet is very comfortable. Clarissa and her husband were fantastic - charming and great morning company!... Me and my husband saw this place in tripadvisor and it got my interest because its quite unique. Its not like any typical hotel.
