is awaiting you here, where the cast of "Giant" stayed in 1955. If you really want to splurge, ask for the Rock Hudson Suite. The second story rooms (no elevator available) are spacious and well appointed. On the negative side, water pressure leaves a bit to be desired and there is no breakfast available close by most days. Charming patio... More

Marfa is such a wonder of a place... delicious dining, funky art, great vistas... and the marvelous Hotel Paisano. Such history with the making of "Giant", with beautiful architecture, excellent service, and a wonderful restaurant. We went for a special birthday celebration and will definitely recommend it to others.

This is an interesting historic hotel with lots of charm and lots of warts. The rooms are small (as is the case in most old hotels) and the bathroom is miniscule. The bed was comfortable. We were traveling from Tucson to Austin and there aren't many places to stop in between. The food was good although the service was a... More

A total original Hotel. Nothing changed from when it opened in 50 th of last century It is reasonably clean has a reasonable Restaurant. It serves no breakfast. The staf is very pleasant and the bar is good for a small town.

This place is a misrepresentation of its advertisements. The pool was cloudy and dirty, It had bugs the size of birds in the room, We found scorpions. The atmosphere was sooo depressing that we said forget about the money and left three days earlier. NIGHTMARE, STAY AWAY FROM MARFA AND ESPECIALLY THE HOTEL PAISANO, UNLESS YOUR A DIRTY HIPPIE.

We love historic hotels, and finding them and spending a night or two in them is somewhat of a hobby of ours. At the moment we're living in a town a couple of hours away from Marfa, so we've researched several historic hotels in the area. We read about El Paisano, and the "Giant" room, and the fact that Liz... More

I had the cheapest room and it was clean and comfortable, even if the view out of my windows was not enticing. It can only get better, because some rooms have patios and balconies. Rock Hudson, Liz Taylor, and James Dean stayed here, and that is part of the lore that goes along with the place. From the hotel you... More

Great hotel. We stayed on a Thursday/Friday night during Spring break time. Mornings are nice and quiet around the hotel, but by late afternoon, the happy hour crowd starts to gather in the beautiful courtyard, ordering drinks and appetizers from the hotel's restaurant, Jett's Grill - also great food -we had dinner there (and margaritas). Our room was a suite,... More

Renovated old courthouse. Rooms are small, cozy and clean. The building is beautiful and the staff very nice. They play latin music in the lobby and I felt as if I was in Mexico. Would definitely stay here again if driving through the area.

We stayed a Monday and Tuesday night during spring break. We were travelling with my son and his wife, grandsons (7&8) and pet. We stayed in the two bed room suite. It was perfect for us. The hotel was a perfect place to land after a long drive from Bastrop and served well as a home base to explore Fort... More
