Another wonderful stay with Neil and Rosemary. The Islay room was ever bit as comfortable as before and the views and hospitality were great. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and we enjoyed every bite. This was our second visit in the last three years and we would come again for sure. Our Hosts are very congenial and we would tell... Although slightly nervous after reading some of the reviews, we decided to go to Greshornish House for a couple of nights with our children (14 and 12). It’s probably important to be aware of the hotel’s way of doing things – rather limited dining hours for example – and also to bear in mind that they would have to charge... More

We stayed in the Islay room, which was large, roomy and comfortable. You could happily spend time in here beyond just sleeping. But with the lounge, the bar and the snooker room downstairs, not to mention the beautiful grounds, you're spoilt for choice for where to hang out! The public areas could maybe be a little bit tidier (OK, just... More

This former Laird's manor was in a great setting. We stayed in the Islay room and would stay there again. We did not eat dinner there as it seemed expensive. The living area was cozy but the chairs could have taken a re-stuffing (but perhaps that is the style). We definitely enjoyed the snooker table. The photos on their web... More

We have just returned home after a wedding in Skye. The Greshornish did us proud, Neil and Rosemary were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and the food was brilliant. The setting was ideal for your wedding photographs

I have never used this site before but felt I needed to express how disappointed I was with this 'hotel'/b&b/someones home. The fact is its not a hotel or b&b - this is a couples home and guests are not made to feel atall welcome. I am upset that I spent London prices and left with a very sour taste.... More

Our room was enormous and very comfortable. The building and grounds exume charm. But, like others, we did not feel welcome; the hosts, it seems to me belong in a different business. And the food was good but certainly not extraordinary and the prices were mindbending. As a minor example we made one local phone call and were charged 1.50... More

Further to the previous reviews I can say that my wife and I spent two nights at Greshornish in September 2011. The house and the room were faultless and in general we enjoyed our stay. As to the comments regarding the severe attitude of the hosts. We have to agree that the booking process, the strict check in times and... More

We stayed for four nights in August with our family and were frustrated by this place. If it had been all bad, that would have been simple but it was a lovely hotel with a certain issues. On the plus side, the house was lovely, the setting fabulous and the food delicious. On the minus side, we were made to... More
