We used to stay at the Alamo, Texas La Quinta Hotel when visiting the area. The Pharr location is a much better hotel. Better maintained and the staff is great!

Attended a meeting in the area. The room was nice and near a Rudys BBQ and some other fast food places. Also a convenience store near by. Right off of the highway. No problems to report, I stayed one night. Would stay here again.

Your standard roadside hotel, surrounded by multiple other roadside hotels, a McDonalds, etc. The room was sparse, with harsh lighting, and we encountered some trouble with the water being turned off without warning (they were doing repairs). It is a good average hotel; very noisy, you can hear the steps of the room over yours; Bed is ok; big room; average breakfast. I definitly could recommend it, but for the price paid I think you could get a better place to stay.

Stayed here 3 nights while in town for a wedding. Hotel is conveniently located on the southbound service road off 281, in a cluster of other hotels. The hotel is a typical Inn, room is comfy but noise insulation is poor. You can hear the footsteps of people above your room and also the motors roaming in the near-by highway.
