The place is nice and calm. The owners are really nice and welcoming, always ready to have a chat and give you tips about anything. The rooms were nice, not very big but good enough! Breakfasts were decent as well. They also have a pool and a spa (we couldn't enjoy it, it was still a bit chilly) but it's... More

After a hot day of hiking Arches NP we ended up in the Recapture Lodge. It met our needs perfectly: a very friendly owner, a clean, spacious and cool (by means of evaporation which is much more comfortable than A/C) room with retro furnishing, fridge & hairdryer, a great refreshing pool and breakfast the next morning. And all that for... More

We stayed here one night on our way North, it's a lovely town and the Steakhouse there is awesome. The reviews for the Recapture Lodge seemed great....I don't know what 'charming', and 'perfect' mean anymore. The bed was uncomfortable, the carpet worn and shabby. The towels were thin and I would have a hard time using the facecloth on my... More

We stayed before and after our OARS rafting trip on the San Juan River. The hotel is basic but met our needs - bed, shower, breakfast. They even held our keys and belongings while on the river. Breakfast was simple but enough for us. Pool was great for my daughter after a long car ride. Staff was helpful.

This was our favorite hotel on our entire trip! This is not the Ritz, if that is what you are looking for, but it is CLEAN, the people are SUPER FRIENDLY, and we will stay here again if we ever are in this area again. :) Staying here was a little like going back in time, to a simpler place... More

This is our second visit and little has changed. It is simple with no pretension to luxury but we love everything about it and the pool is a real joy at the end of the day. We only had one night this time but on our previous visit found three nights was not enough to see all the attractions in... More

Stayed here one night en route to monument valley. It is about 40 minutes outside the valley. Has some interesting rock formations in town. This quaint little motel was clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Bathroom basic but clean. Tv, but no hair dryer or fridge. Breakfast was included in the $75 which was reasonable considering there was not much... More

We ended up joining with some friends last minute on the tail end of a river trip. No matter how you cut it, two fulls is small for four adults. Still, the room was clean, everything worked, and the shower was the best ever after a week on the muddy San Juan. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even... More

I've been stopping here for many years to either hike the canyons in the area or as a stop over before heading to Moab for a shuttle to the Green River. It's a great place with a pool and hot tub or you can just sit outside and sip a cool one. If you are an outdoors type, use to... More

We - a senior Danish couple - stayed here for a few days and enjoyed the stay very much. It was quiet, clean and nice. The process from calling and having our wish fulfilled: a kitchen in the room went fine and it was obvious that the manager had gone through some recalculating in order to please us. The place...
