We weren't expecting much here in the middle of the vast Utah desert, but the room and the amenities were surprisingly good, well maintained. We left a note for the manager on checkout about much we enjoyed our stay and her friendly service. Even the continental breakfast at Stan's was good with coffee, juice, boiled eggs, bagels, cereal. Don't know... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Would have stayed a 4th but needed internet for work purposes and connection was shaky. No fault of the hotel though. Clean. Very quiet. Friendly and professional staff. Great jumping off point for exploring Southwest. Factory Butte, Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, Horseshoe Canyon, San Rafael Swell, Cedar Mesa all close by. Food choices somewhat limited but... More

This was our third stay. Hanksville is NOT an attractive destination, but it is on the route to several places which are. The motel is very well run -- clean, comfortable, well-equipped -- and obviously popular. The free breakfast offered at Stan's is to be avoided. Blondie's, across the road, is better. Duke's, a new restaurant in town, is barely... More

The staff failed to clean my room one day. I was out of the room by 10:00 a.m. I think this hotel has made big efforts to improve their facility, but basic service needs attention. I would stay here again.

Rooms are clean and quiet, mattresses are comfortable, and room rates are totally reasonable given the fact that they have no real competition. They also now offer a free breakfast at Stan's- didn't try it because I like Blondie's across the street so much-but might another time. Folks who run the place are also helpfu land friendly. Our check in... More

They've upgraded the quality of rooms but not the prices. The new management is professional, warm and friendly. They make the whole town work better for visitors. It's a pleasure to rest here after a 500-mile drive or a camping trip in the desert. The free continental breakfast is nice and new this trip. We didn't have reservations. No problem.... More

The best thing about staying in a smaller-scale motel is the easy check-in. Upon arrival, the wonderful clerk had our reservation on hand and handled within two minutes. The clerk was friendly and gracious and offered suggestions for dining (even though Hanksville is a tiny town, it was still nice to be provided with options). The room was very clean... More

Coming into Hanksville in the evening with a reservation here and not knowing what you are going to get could be deceiving...this place is a GEM! It is clean, well maintained, comfortable, VERY reasonably priced and staffed by friendly and considerate people!
