Our group of 10 friends stayed two nights during our two week roadtrip and this was hands down the best place we stayed at. We had an entire Hogan just to ourselves but more importantly we received the most amazing welcome from Raquel and Martin. From the get go they were the kindest, giving us a tour of the premises... A unique experience at a beautiful location. Away from the hustle of the main accomodation options in the area Firetree gives you the option of a peaceful retreat with the quiet and unassuming Raqel and Martin. Diane the very learned matriach, who had made the bricks for the house and built the Hogans, joined us for one of Raqels home... More

My partner and i stayed at Firetree B&B on our recent road trip to the USA. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the Hogan was warm and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We really liked the quirkiness of the place! It was located of the beaten track, but we liked the fact that it was peaceful and relaxing.... More

Loved staying here. Right in the Monument Valley in Navajo Nation. Raquel and Martin were very helpful and their home cooking amazing. Loved the experience and what an amazing landscape to be staying in. The hogan keeps to traditional construction with compacted dirt floor and beautiful wooden construction. Although there was sleet during the night, we were all cosy in... More

Now this is different! Don't be put off by the adverse comments of some reviewers. If you want an experience that is totally unique which will be a highlight of your holiday then book with confidence. If you want modern hotel type accomodation then go somewhere that is just that. Your hostess has a fund of stories which will keep... More

Home away, away from home. Hogan is clean and pretty. Both the owner and his son were very helpful and good people.

I would highly recommend staying at the Firetree Inn if you would like an experience of Monument Valley that goes beyond treadmill tourism. My husband & I spent 3 special nights at Firetree in September 2008. 20 Mins from the Monument Valley entrance & the landscape is no different. The 2 hogans that make up the Firetree Inn were apparently... More

This lodge makes clear how remote it is in its publicity, and superficially the location seems attractive. However, charming it is not, and before deciding to stay, look carefully into questions such as the toilet facilties, the noisey air conditoner, the need to keep the door of the hogon closed to avoid the cat using your bed, the very small... We were looking forward to Firetree and Monument Valley as the highlight of our 4 week trip to the USA, and weren't disappointed. Our hosts were welcoming, and being away from civilization was exactly what we we were looking for. Firetree is effectively a bed and breakfast, so don't go if you want a 4 star experience. We found it... More

We stayed here for one night whilst on honeymoon and found it a very interesting place. The hogan itself was magnificant - and the hosts (mother and son) were very friendly. Breakfast was fine but you don't really stay here for the food - its more for the experience of sleeping in a hogan. One word of caution - a... More
