We camped two nights in a tent site. Decent clean bathrooms with hot water and dish cleaning area. Popular pool. Clean showers with good pressure and hot water aplenty. Laundry. Their tours to Monument Valley are very popular and worth it (Taking your own vehicle over the rough dirt roads would be a mistake if not impossible.)

During my stay I stayed at the lodge and at the campground so I have some experience with both. Location is flawless located next to a mesa against a cliff and just minutes to Monument Valley. It was no surprise that this place was fully booked solid for months. Views from the rooms are some of the best views you... More

Since a young child I have dreamed of Monument Valley, John Wayne and the calvary growing up watching westerns. This could not have been better if it was planned by Hollywood. Every room looksover the valley and the sunrise was incredible. We went on the Navajo cookout in a very seculded canyon that just made the trip that much more... More

Some 8 months ago or so, we tried to get reservations at Goulding's Lodge for two couples in two rooms, only to find out that the two days we were looking for were booked. However, we were told that we could book one of the three houses that were on the property. Since all three were available at that time,... More

We rented out the Red Rock Casita, which is a little trailer-type in the middle of the campground (not lodge). The Casita consisted of a living room with flat screen tv, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a spacious bathroom, and a spacious bedroom with a queen bed... all of this for $99! We were blown away. We also had... More

This former trading post has a fascinating history, with its connection to John Wayne and the movies. All rooms have incredible views over Monument Valley. The food is good, and reasonably priced, the museum is fascinating and there is a good shop. The indoor swimming pool was a little on the cool side. The tours of the valley organised by... More

The view hotel is much closer to Valley than Goulding's Lodge though, they can be seen from room, especially balcony. Wifi works well. Because of the location, it is a little bit pricey for accomodation.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. Booking in was hassle free and lots of in formation was given. The apartment was very clean and well furnished. The John Wayne movie seemed just right for the setting although I had not watched one for 40 years or so!! My only criticism was the lack of cooking utensils, crockery and cookware... More

This is the best place to stay in the area. Goulding's lodge has everything in one package. The room is excellent. We had a morning sunrise breakfast on our patio which was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip. The restaurant had delicious traditional Navajo food and excellent service. The museum was fun, giving a nice overview of... More

The rooms and especially the views from the the balconies are amazing, probably the reason you'd want to stay there. The facilities considering the remoteness are of good quality and the musem on site well worth spending time to visit. Leaner not only the well documented 'cowboy facination' but history of the area was interesting and made you appreciate your... More
