Few options in this area of Vermont. Price was not bad...but that was about it. A hole in the wall where the oulet should have been, heavily stained benches at the food of each bed, giant holes in the blankets in the bed, no cover on the ironing boad, no place to plug in the hair dryer ( that should... After receiving attitude from the man at the front desk, I went to a room that had a door that would not open. I spent 5 mins fiddling with the key because I was to upset to go back to the man in front. I then walk into a room that was not clean. The heating system knobs were broken... More

Staying here was like being in a horror movie. The parking lot is scary at night, They need better lighting. The owner can barely speak english. The rooms, while large was not the cleanest. We found a condom under the bed which was visible as soon as we walked in the door. We have no idea how the housekeeping people... More

Spent a great weekend at the Hollow Inn while playing in a snow softball tournament. The weather was frigid but our room was always warm and the water/shower hot so we were quite comfy. There was a decent breakfast buffet which was refreshed regularly, and pleasant customer service. Though a private establishment, it is certainly comparable to the chains as... More

We stayed here while dropping our son off at Norwich University. The room was huge, with a separate sitting room that could be closed off so he could have his privacy. The room had a frig and microwave, which was very convenient. There are not many lodging options in the area. During other trips to Northfield I rented homes from... More

If you are looking for a good deal for a Northern Central Vermont weekend (skiing or fall colors) try this place. Free continental breakfast, large king size rooms in the main house at a good price. You will have to put up with some shoddy maintenance (bathroom lights barely hanging onto the wall) - but it has excellent heating (we... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hollow Inn for one night on our way through Vermont. In spite of all the negative reviews, our experience at the Inn was actually not that bad. We checked in quite late (after 9pm) and the person at reception was not too friendly (though that may have just been because he was tired,... More

The rooms are as advertised very large and spacious and they offered a seniors discount. The contennial breakfast was satisfactory. The carpet was showing a little wear but was clean. We travel with two Yorkshire terriers and they did not object to having our pets in the rooms and they had ample space for pets around the parking area. Will... More

Motel Hollow is hollow .. digs down in your pockets...pay a high rate for not much more than a cheap old dirty stinky motel with no late checkin facility. They close office at 10pm and therefore you cannot arrive late. There is no service after 10 and you are pretty much on your own from that point on. Rooms are... More

They weren't kidding when they advertised the rooms as being huge. We stayed in the main building which is very impressive looking as you drive in. Although our room number was in the 400's, we could access the hallway with a half flight set of stairs from the side parking lot or at ground level through the patio door on... More
