5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

We stayed one night in June. Two couples, two rooms. Inkeepers Mary Anne and George Lewis were wonderful hosts. Extremely pleasant and friendly. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. The Inn was very homey and had a great back porch where we sat and watched the sunset over Mt. Mansfield (highest point in VT). What a relaxing evening after... More

My wife and I traveled to Vt to get married last weekend, after being stuck stuck an airport for 13 hours this place was a breath of fresh air! We were late to check in so they made special arrangement for us to arrive very late. We then woke up to an amazing breakfast! Mary Ann was so sweet and... More

First time B and B travelers and first time visitors to Vermont. This long weekend (May, 2013) was a wedding gift in the form of a B&B.com gift card. We chose Stowe, Vermont because we wanted to see mountains and the beauty of American’s northeast region (my husband is a recent immigrant to the States). We wanted a comfortable, tranquil... More

The owners of this Inn are lovely people, but this Inn does not live up to the reviews. The biggest issue is that the whole Inn smells like stale cigarette smoke and air freshener to mask the smoke. Even the towels smell! If you are at all sensitive to cigarette smell then definitely don't stay here. The Inn must have... More

We are regular visitors to Vermont staying at many different Inn's and 'wow' the Brass Lantern was a wonderful find. George and Mary Anne provided warm hospitality that was second to none. The rooms are tastefully decorated, breakfasts are scrumptious and the ease of conversation made us feel immediately like family. The Inn has a beautiful view of Mt. Mansfield... More

We felt so fortunate to have you stay with us. And even more happy to know that while you are a frequent and regular traveler to Stowe, that we had the opportunity to host you on this latest trip and appears, return trips. Your stay, and the adding of an additional night stay each day (for a wonderfully extended stay)…,... More

Last winter we made two phone calls to the Stowe Area Association so that they could assist us in making our travel arrangements.  We explain to them that we had just gotten engaged and that we were looking for a quiet and romantic Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our special occasion. After speaking to Sue, she highly recommended the Brass... More

It is time to set the record straight here. In the previous three and a half years as Owners/Innkeepers of this wonderful Inn we have been very fortunate to receive well over 200 reviews in the Excellent to Very Good category. I think the savvy traveler using TripAdvisor as their resource for confirming a place to stay will recognize that... More

We are confirmed B and B travelers. We stayed here for two nights when attending a wedding. The view was sublime, or hosts, Mary Ann and George were so hospitable and helpful, I felt like I was back home in alabama. The public spaces are very pleasant with comfy seats. Bed was perfect, nice hot shower, and two superb breakfasts... More

I go to Stowe almost every year. I love all the outdoor activities, fantastic restaurants, shopping, and beautiful atmosphere. This year I decided that I wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast. When looking online I came across the Brass Lantern Inn, they had very good reviews. I loved the charm of the house. Immediately upon arrival we were... More

Stowe's Brass Lantern Inn is a beautiful place owned and run by a very special family, which we felt part of by the time we left. George let us store our bikes in his garage, and made incredible (and large!) breakfasts. Mary Anne was warm and welcoming; she offered seconds on George's amazing almond cake, introduced us to other guests,... More

We spent two nights on Memorial day weekend. Accommodations, food, staff were great! We really enjoyed the conversations we had and breakfast was outstanding. Even though it rained all weekend, we visited the area. Tastings at local breweries and a distillery was fun. Great beer. And restaurants were great as well. Crop pub has great food and beer
