We stayed for 3 nights this weekend and really appreciated the "country inn" experience. My husband & I recently stayed at the Butternut Inn in Stowe, VT for our last getaway before our first child. Upon arrival, we were a bit disappointed by the smell and overall condition of the inn. Apparently, there was some type of plumbing issue that occurred the night before and the second floor had collapsed into the base level.... More

Very relaxing atmosphere. Rustic inn with a downstairs gameroom. We played pool and darts in the evening and explored the large inn. Wonderful, hearty breakfast in the morning! Very enjoyable.

My wife, 2 year old daughter and i enjoyed our 2 night stay at Butternut Inn. It is cosy, comfortable and conveniently located. the hosts, Janis and Parker are warm, friendly people and gave us good advice on things to do in Stowe. The game room and the eclectic furniture/decor is a nice touch as well. - Ajay
