Mr. Rittenhouse was very nice and helpful...I made reservations here in advance of my motorcycle trip based on the better reviews...he gave us a free upgrade because they weren't full...the room was very large...beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was clean and the outside was very clean and it was a $109 for the night...I mean what else... This obviously was once a nice roadside motel. Our rooms were very, very musty. The proprietor is very charming and likable, probably the only reason we stayed. We will not be returning.

This is a great place to stay. Theres a bunch of hotels along this stretch of highway, most of them pretty boring, seedy, or overpriced. But this lodge is reasonably priced, locally owned, and has a lovely garden out the back.

We stopped off for the night here on a road trip down the East coast. The motel is located in some very pretty grounds. The owner was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and great value for money.

This is the best place I have ever stayed. Please stay away if you don't like 60's motel noastaglia or kind people.
