Great place! Clean and comfortable with staff that are pleasant and accomodating. The wine and cheese on the porch is especially appreciated after a long day on campus and a great way to recharge for an evening down town. Breakfast is great and there are warm cookies are exceptionally tasty!

This inn maintains strong service standards. Easy and friendly check inn/out, clean rooms with comfortable temperatures thoughtfully ready, and practical character are a few areas of service that stand out. The wine and cheese evening hours and breakfast are quality driven and prepared on premise. By far my favorite Charlottesville stay.

We stayed at South Street Inn for six nights in late April / early May as part of our trip to Charlottesville to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found the location to be very convenient, as we were within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants and the shops on the downtown mall, and relatively near the UVA campus. We... This is my second stay at the Inn and I love how accommodating they were to questions/requests/needs. The rooms are comfortable and privacy is easy to achieve. The breakfast and atmosphere invite you to linger and enjoy. My definite go to place when I want to indulge a bit.

After visiting Monticello, we drove to Charlotteville to find an accomodation. Following what our guide suggested we headed to 200 South Street Inn where we were lucky to find an availability. You enter the hotel as entering home. The smell of cookies in the lobby, the living room with people chatting, drinking wine and having some chease, all this creates a... More

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this lovely B&B. I arrived after Happy Hour the first evening and was still offered an evening glass of wine and some snacks including freshly-baked cookies. My room was clean and comfortable and I loved the whirlpool bathtub. The inn is perfectly located near a lovely historic shopping district with many nice little boutique shops.... More

I drove into Charlottesville in the early evening on a tour of Civil War battlefields, and just dropped into the 200 South Street Inn, looking for a room. They had one left, on the lower level.I was a little skeptical as I walked into what is basically the basement, but thoroughly relieved when I saw the room. It was spotless,... More

Very welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. All of them. Lovely room (no 2), basement, therefore quite dark. Fireplace, lovely big comfortable bed. The room needs a little maintenance with peeling paint etc. There was a small blood stain and a tear in the sheets. Coming from UK we would have loved tea/ coffee facilities in the room. Close to downtown... More

We stayed only one night at 200 South Street Inn, but I wish we had booked for more. Upon arriving, we were met with delicious baking smells from the kitchen adjacent to the check-in desk - and a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies - delicious. The manager, Liz, was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful in getting us oriented.... More

My daughter, daughter-in-law and I stayed here for a "Girls Weekend". The Inn was lovely. Very clean and nice atmosphere. The wine and cheese reception was very nice and held our appetites in check until we could get to dinner. The breakfast was terrific! Fresh baked breads, beautiful fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt and the very best coffee I... More
