I'm self employed so my business travel is always on a budget. Stayed at the Econo Lodge North for the first time last weekend, for a conference in Charlottesville. Almost all other hotels in town were either sold out or close to $200 per night, so I decided to take a chance at the Econo Lodge, which was $59. I... More

I stayed one night at this Econo Lodge. The room was clean. The sheets smelled fresh. The bathroom was clean. The mattresses looked fairly new and were comfortable. There was soap, shampoo, lotion, enough towels, refrigerator, microwave, and, of course, a TV (which I didn't use). Thankfully, the towels were not threadbare, as often is the case with cheap hotels.... More

WOW where to start it was all so bad. On a 3 day motorcycle ride stayed the night before at a great HoJo's in lexington for the exact same price and it was great dated but great. This was dirty, carpets showers beds wall furniture etc etc. The outside is dismal with new paint. The party upstairs went all night... More

2 out of 3 nights were acceptable, except for the general smelliness of the place. Noisy plumbing woke me up an hour before the alarm clock, and kept me awake. Stay away on college football weekends: even this far from campus, the kids were drinking and yelling until 3 am, in the motel, and up and down the street, and... More

During our recent stay in Charlottesville, we decided to try the Econolodge North. We usually stay in a little nicer line of hotels, but had read some reviews of this one and decided to try it. This is an Econo Lodge, so we started with an idea of what we were getting into. We had stayed at the Econo Lodge... More

Bed and bathroom is about it. So called truck parking is parallel on street. Breakfast is a joke. Lots of imigrant workers staying there. For the few $ more, I would stay across street @ days inn or other motel in area. No bargain! Never again at this one

Charlottesville, Virginia is a great place to visit. Lots of history, sites and the like. The Econo Lodge is average. Nothing plush. What one expects to find in an Econo Lodge.

Me and my partner stayed in econo lodge for a night, and i was really impressed by the cleanliness and amenities. I had stayed in econo lodges in other cities before, and i found this particular location's econo lodge better of the lot. Sheets and towels were very clean, and they had all essentials amenities. A dump -- stay away!! front desk unhelpful and unpleasant; they also often don't answer the phone. bedding was stained, carpet wasn't clean. rooms and baths are old with bad furnishings and in desperate need of renovation. rates are very high for what you get.
