We stopped for the night and while I thought it was a fairly nice campground, when we got to our site it was spongy/wet! There was a 5th wheel a few sites over from us and they didn't have any consideration for anyone. They had extremely loud music playing. Their dog pooped on the site and no one cleaned up... More

We just stayed for easter weekend, the campground was great. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The campground was very clean. The shuttle service was very easy to get to and from the park any time through out the day. They even had a coloring contest and easter egg hunt available. I really liked it and look forward to... This is not a "5-star" resort, but it is totally satisfactory. You don't come here for a KOA-resort experience, you come here to be next to King's Dominion. Regular/free shuttle, very friendly staff, nice & basic pool, nice park layout. Don't come here to use their mini-golf or to expect to be entertained full time at the campground; come here... More

I agree that this campground has received a bad rap! I have stayed at the King's Dominion Campground twice and each time has been fantastic. Bathrooms were disgusting! Toilets were not flushed, showers were full of mold. There were no benches to put shower stuff down. Miniature golf was a joke. It is in serious need of repair.
