Met with happy friendly staff. Room was clean and ready. TV was a little confusing to get used to stations that are available were OK, would be good to have sleep timer to shut off if you fall asleep. The restaurant was not open for lunch but the breakfast was very good with great service.

I stayed at this Hilton Garden several years ago when it first opened as was impressed by it's cleanliness and freindly attitude of the staff. It was still this way last weekend. The hotel has rooms that face a courtyard shared by restaurants and bars. At night rooms that face the courtyard can hear live music that goes on till after 10:00pm followed by loud talking with drunken patrons. If you are a light sleeper this will keep you awake.

Overall it was a very good stay. They have one of the lowest government appreciation rates. However, the rate does not include breakfast like many of the other HGIs. The housekeeper was very thorough. My room was always clean before 2 pm.

Had to wait for someone to show up to check us in and when he did it was with no apology to us or the other guest left waiting, the room had no shampoo, a broken chair with the back ripped halfway off, a torn up lamp shade, and holes in the ceiling and bathtub. I had a great time overall in the city of Richmond. The hotel stay was enjoyable as well. A little disappointed that the cable was not working properly, but satisfied nonetheless with everything else. I will definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, the next time I come.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating The hotel was very busy time at the time of my stay as there was a 5K marathon going on just blocks away with over 9000 participants. The staff re-arranged guests so that my family could have rooms very close together.

Terrible experience. When I first arrived the attendant at the front seemed to care less about my checkin. Barely looked at me. Then I went to the bar to ask the man for a match or lighter, at which point he tells me they have a no tolerance policy for smoking and walks away. I want even going to smoke!!... More
