We stayed here in a group camping and we enjoyed the campsites. We stayed in the back not in the "presidental" area and we enjoyed it. The sites could use some clean up and the cable lacks alot to be desired. But it was a nice get away. If you like camping and like to get away stay in the... More

We came across this resort while at Bass Pro Shops just after Christmas 2011. Since we have an RV, we were offered a 5 day/4 night package PLUS a bonus of $125 in Bass Pro Shop gift cards if we agreed to listen to an "approximately 90 minute presentation on the benefits of becoming a BlueGreen timeshare owner" during our... Secluded, beautiful setting - very wooded and rural. We loved the setting and overall enjoyed out stay but were disappointed in the service levels compared to other time-share places we've stayed. We used our time-share but felt like we were nickeled and dimed for every little thing. Flat boats and paddle boats were included, but canoes and kayaks cost extra.... More

The grounds and location are beautiful, very rural but still close enough to Charlottesville to be conveniant. Food was pretty good for the price, all though service was poor at best. Bottom line is the area and location are great as long as you do not want to be pampered plenty of things to do on the resort. Oh yeah... More

We stumbled upon this resort at Bass Pro Shops. They offered us a rate of $50 per night to stay in the hotel for 3 days, 2 nights room PLUS a bonus of $125 in Bass Pro Shop gift cards if we agreed to listen to an "approximately 90 minute presentation on the benefits of becoming a BlueGreen timeshare owner"... ...but your choices may be limited. Here's why you might like it: activities include fishing, boating on the lake, pool swimming (not in the lake) tennis, horseback riding, golf (I hear). Here's why you might not like it: the rooms are Days Inn quality, the lodge is functional, but far from charming, the food is average. The service people are... More

My husband and I stayed her for a week on an RCI exchange. For us it was perfect. We had come to the area to do some bicycling and touring of historic sights. The resort was a reasonable distance (45-60 mins. or less by car) from some great road biking routes and several good wineries. Charlottsville (a great little college... More
