Lynchburg, VA has the usual selection of "chain" hotels. Since I do not travel there often, I asked a local contact if he could recommend a local hotel that offers the same amenities as the average chain hotel, but with a local flavor. He was good enough to recommend the Kirkley Hotel, and I am glad I took his advice... More

We recently held an all day business meeting at the Kirkley Hotel and were overwhelmed with how smoothly everything went. The hotel has undergone recent renovations and it shows the commitment of the current owners to make this hotel the premiere choice for guest stay and business meetings. The entire process was stressfree from the initial meeting to execution. Lou... More

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased! The service was great, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was great. I can't say enough...from the moment I walked in the front door until I left it felt like a more upscale establishment than any other hotel we have stayed at in Lynchburg! We will definitely stay here again!

The Kirkley Hotel has been updated nicely. The outside of the hotel looks like it would be super outdated, but they have done a nice job renovating. I enjoyed the fitness area, and the fact that they have a pretty nice selection of cable channels and free wifi. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and daughters - ages 3 and 1 - stayed at the Kirkley while visiting family in Lynchburg and seeing some local sites. The customer service was top notch. I felt like I was in a family run establishment where everyone seemed invested in guest satisfaction. The staff was so pleasant and seemed to genuinely enjoy taking care of... More

I'm the Owner of the Kirkley Hotel, We appreciate the kind comments NBHodges posted. I'm terribly sorry that her sleep was disturbed by other guests. As fate would have it I was personally involved in the resolution of the noise issue near her room. I'm sorry that we were not more discreet. We make no excuses for our failures, but... More

Fifty- three ladies had another wonderful luncheon at the Kirkley Hotel ballroom. It was lovely and the table settings were beautiful! The pork tenderloin that I had could have fed 2 hungry people and the salad was tremendous and very good. This wonderful food was served by the best wait staff in town- Allison Dalnert, Jacqueline Coleman, Amanda Turner, and... More

My expectations were exceeded in every way. From the palatial grand entrance, to the rooms, the fixtures, the furnishings, even the shower head ( a Waterpic dinner plate size rain shower) The Kirkley is an older property. Unlike the Days Inn which takes an older property a squeezes the last ounce of revenue from it for as long as they... More

Last time I was here, the hotel was OK. Dated, but they seemed to be trying to renovate. This time, we were on a fully renovated floor (the 5th), and it was spectacular! What a great improvement! I love to see hotels investing in their future. I don't know if the whole hotel is updated, but please keep up the... More

Stayed here for a long weekend to visit family in the area. Hotel was a short driving distance to airport which made it nice. They offer free shuttle to/from airport. Drivers were very friendly. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful as well. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the way bath towels were tied with... More

Two friends and I stayed at the Kirkley Hotel in Lynchburg. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and it was all at a great price. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Lynchburg. It's not downtown (it's near the mall), but for us that didn't matter. Getting downtown... More
