When planning to spend the night in Lynchburg in order to watch my son play in tournament at Liberty University, I began looking for an inexpensive but nationally recognized hotel to spend the night. An initial draw to the Hampton Inn was the fact that I was able to get a nice discount through Hilton Honors if I prepaid for... More

Am a diamond member of Hilton Chains and didn't think twice about checking into this hotel. Got in after dark...and OMG. Front desk was clean, neat and staff friendly and accommodating, but ttho't it was weird she didn't direct me to the nearest elevator. Apparently, this building is an old - well - motel 5-ish motel and no elevator, no... More

We came here for business and found the hotel to be clean and quiet despite the middle school basketball tournament taking most the rooms in the hotel and the town. Breakfast was good..you can make your own waffles. Pretty standard wherever you go but other reviews said the breakfast was poor and with that I disagree. The staff have all... More

I've stayed in many Hampton Inn's. This one was well below average. I stayed the night before in Roanoke/Salem and the atmosphere was quite different. The lobby was nice, a bit cramped but nice. Breakfast wasn't great. Processed omeletes. Rooms had outside entry, which is ok but outdated. The bathroom needed some work. Trim falling off, mold around tub but... More

Nice front desk staff on arrival. Didn't stay here for anymore that a stop on a road trip with my wife. All hotels in the area seemed to be priced about the same. Seemed a little pricey for just a room, but as I said, everything in the area worth staying at is around the same price. You can walk... More

Average quality Hampton Inn. Front desk staff wasn't overlly welcoming which surprised me. I typically get that warm welcome from Hampton Inn staffers. The hotel itself is dated but if you need a clean safe place to stay for local business then this is the place to stay. The rooms and hallways are again a little date but still very... More

Yes, there are exterior entrances and no elevator, so ask for a room on the first floor if you need it. The rooms are a bit smaller than most Hamptons, adding to the motel feel, but overall I was happy with this hotel. It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. It also included a fridge and microwave, which you... More

This is a Hampton, but looks and feels like a motel. The beds are Hampton quality beds, but the rooms are very small. The work desk is spacious and the wi-fi signal is strong, but if you're sitting in the desk chair and someone needs to get past you, they have to climb over the beds. Yeah, it's that tight.... More

I was very concerned when we checked in as we got a room very close to the highway but we did not hear any of the road noise. It was a clean room, the older style where the door opens to the parking lot but with two dogs that works out great. They do charge $ 50 for the dogs... More

I often stay in Hampton Inns because they are usually the model of predictable consistency (i.e., clean room). Unfortunately, the one in Lynchburg was below this standard on a recent visit in October. The room was worn out and in need of a major renovation. It was also not as clean as it should have been. I will say that... More
