You have to understand the meaning of an ashram. It is not meant to be hotel like with luxurious ambience and amenities. Traditionally in India, ashrams are meant to be basic. This is a lovely ashram, well located and very safe. In the Ganga block you can get a room overlooking the Ganges, although rooms on the other side of the hall don't even have windows.
