This is a really great place to stay in Granada. The hotel is very clean, food is very good and the owner(Bendt) has the best staff. Our friend forgot some money in her room when we were checking out and the staff returned it to the front desk. She got her money back before we left the hotel. A nice pool... More

We arrived in Granada in the evening. The staff were very welcoming and helpful at first. We were woken up at 5.30am by the huge diesel powered generator underneath our room (room 19). The room was unusable as the diesel fumes entered through our closed windows and we had no choice but to vacate it at 6am. We informed the... More

Very good, quiet location 1.5 blocks from the main square in Old Town, close to restaurants and tourist sites. Clean bathrooms, comfy beds, hot water, A/C, refreshing pool, good food. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights in mid-Feb. Bendt, the owner, has lots of good info re the surrounding area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend hiring their... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in January2012 It was very noisy due the all the tile but I would recommend this as a very relaxing and comfortable hotel to stay at. The pool was so refreshing after traveling all day from Playas del Coco Costa Rica on the bus. The breakfast choices were wonderful and servings large.... More

We spent two nights in this hotel while visiting Granada. The hotel was recommended by the staff at Costa Rica Unique Transfer and Tours in Playa del Coco, Costa Rica, and it lived up to our expectations. The location is a block and a half from the downtown square. The safety of the location was tested as the power went... More

I was only there one night when my regular hotel did not have a vacancy.. I found the staff helpful and polite and everything else more or less average. I didn't try the restaurant. I might consider staying there again under similar circumstances.

Our family of 5 stayed at the El Almirante in Granada for 4 nights. I believe it has 20 rooms and is built around a courtyard that includes a refreshing and clean pool. it appears to be newly refinished inside. W stayed in a "family" room that slept all 5 of us. It was very reasonable and included breakfast for... More

Ran into the hotel while walking around the city. A one year old "boutique" hotel with 20 rooms, pool and great kitchen. Located only 2 blocks from the Parque Central in a quiet safe neighborhood and 1/2 block from the main street of Atrevezada. The staff are very professional, friendly and attentive to your needs. The entire facility is always... More

for the good information that helped me make this choice. Newly constructed but carefully designed to blend with surrounding colonial architecture, elAlmirante has all amenities and comfy beds, friendly staff, lovely pool. Everything you need is here. Did not try the restaurant but should have because the tourist-y restaurants were just awful as well as expensive.
