From the moment we arrived, we were personally greeted by the most knowlegeable and welcoming innkeeper, Paul. From that moment forward we were treated as true "guests" of an historic inn. His interest and knowledge related to the Inn & property's history is remarkable and was greatly appreciated. Rosendale Inn is located in a truly beautiful, pastoral countryside setting at... More

Katie and I had a new adventure this weekend. We spent Friday night at Rosendale Inn Bed and Breakfast. Located next to Endless Caverns, where we first met over forty years ago. It was nice to return. We were met on the front porch by innkeeper Paul Murphy and from that moment on it became a magical time. We visited... More

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Joe, Marion, Marie, and all of our guests for your kind words and a truly remarkable 2012. We made many wonderful new friends this year, and hope we will have the opportunity see Joe and all of you again in 2013. We pledge to strive equally as hard in the new... More

My wife and I stayed at the Rosendale Inn last weekend and it was a good experience. Paul, the innkeeper, was very welcoming. He showed us to the room when we arrived, explained the fire exit policy to us, and asked what time we preferred breakfast. The following night we got back a bit late and had left our key... More

I went on vacation to follow up on the rich history of Virginia and Pennsylvania - and I got history. So having a few days to stay at one spot I choose this B&B where you're part of the history when you stay in this house from 1790 !!! It's not a 4 * marble glistening hotel - but a... More

We found the Rosendale Inn to be located in a tranquil setting off the busy highway, yet very convenient to many points of interest, including New Market, the Skyline Drive, wineries and caverns. Montpelier is a short drive away. After a restful night spent in the Roosevelt room, we join other guests in a lively conversation around the customary breakfast... More

Our family of 4 (2 children - 7 and 11 years old) had a lovely evening at the Rosendale Inn. We stayed in the Roosevelt suite which was very spacious and quiet. The bathroom is very modern and the shower was fabulous. Our daughters loved bathing in the clawfoot tub in the master bedroom. Breakfast was delicious and the conversation... More

We found Rosendale Inn cozy, comfortable, and truly a "home away from home." The Inn's gourmet breakfast of white asparagus wrapped in prosciutto ham and topped with two sunny side up eggs, country sausage, whole grain toast, real orange juice and coffee was a perfect start to our day. The Innkeeper's hospitality was generous and very much appreciated. Our two... More

We stayed at this B&B in Feb. 2012. We were just looking for an overnight while traveling with the intention of touring the New Market Battlefield the next day. The online directions to the place are right on target if one follows them. Just keep straight on the road until you come to the Endless Caverns Gate. Then turn left... More

The owner is making a serious effort to restore the house and he is to be commended for this. We stayed in the Roosevelt suite which has been renovated. It has 2 sleeping areas and a large, modern bath. We were there in October when small creatures are looking for a warm place--and a mouse and several spiders were in... More

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Rosendale, and it was a very nice experience. The house has a lot of history, and Paul Murphy takes great pride in taking care of his guests. Paul has great stories, and makes a 4 star breakfast! We will stay there again if ever in the area. Thanks Paul!
