“Clean, cheap, good facilities”

Stayed for busness so location most important. Hotel located on a street in the suburbs. Free parking outside although I beleive that they have an underground garage also. Small but clean comfotable rooms, some with small balcony. Old TV but worked. Restaurant on site excellent. Local Portugeuse dishes feature but some international favourites also. Although we only stayed for one night at Hotel de Ilhavo on our way to the north of Portugal we were in for a pleasant surprise. The hotel is relatively new with big and comfortable rooms, staff is really nice and efficient and we even had the chance to use the indoor pool&whirlpool (open until 10pm, pleasantly warm pool temperature)... Stayed here for a 5 day trip. Very friendly & efficient front desk. Thankfully, everyone spoke English as I haven’t spoken Portuguese in over 45 years.
