Large rooms and enormous bathrooms, great base to explore Ubeda - a forgotten gem - dont eat in hotel - very average.
We had a huge room on the second floor with a huge bath. Good dinner and breakfast. We only stayed here for one night. Very historical and the common rooms were a museum! Delicious food and friendly staff. Loved all the marble here.
This is a good place to stay but suffers from having no where to sit outside. There is a central covered courtyard where you can sit and have a snack but the sitting room (often a good feature of Paradors) was small and dark and unused as far as I could see. We had a standard room on the main floor which was small but nicely decorated. Some wear and tear in bathroom. There are superior rooms available on the second floor. The first floor has a lovely enclosed courtyard for lunch or lounging etc. The dinner in this parador was the best yet in our seven day sef drive parador tour....

Perfect old hotel. Ubeda is a very romantic city. the perfect getaway for for a romtantic weekend. Also a few very got places to go for good food.
Lovely place steeped in history. Ubeda itself is a lovely old Spanish town set high up in mountains. Stunning views. We used late rooms to book. Be careful as we inadvertently booked special deal for 20 to35 year olds. My wife was quite put back that she appeared older....she is! Deals for the 55years upwards were more expensive which I...

Beautifully kept hotel with professional, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is perfectly located in historic quarter close to many of the local attractions.
Although it has no car park there is a drop off point in front of the hotel and ample free parking within a couple of hundred metres.
The hotel itself is converted from the original palace of...
