We have been here agin & again over the years and the owner never fails to insult. If its not kids being too loud racing around the garden, its food taking too long and not being served warm and the cook refusing to cook mid afternoon because he can't be bothered. The owner is clearly not interested and knows people... More

I have used this hotel as a base for completing fieldwork in the southern highlands. The rooms are basic, consisting only of a bed and chair (no TV) and a bathroom down the hall. The rooms are freshly painted and the bathrooms have been recently renovated. Unfortunately the bathrooms and rooms were not serviced daily which would have been a... More

I'm surprised by the negative comments about this hotel. Visiting friends often ask me to take the there. The views are beautiful and it's a relaxing and peaceful place to eat. I love their pies. Even in winter it can be very cosy inside. It's an old pub, with loads of atmosphere in a quiet village. Don't go expecting haute... More

Terrible Burger, it's not too hard to make a good burger but it is hard to make a bad one. Limp lettuce , dry hard meat , sad roll and all put together without thought for the person eating it . Be warned

This beautiful venue and great location is spoilt by poor service. Despite having a booking for a Sunday lunch at 12.30 we had to wait nearly two hours for a burger. We were told the kitchen was busy despite the pub not looking busy. This is the second occasion this has occurred. Management don't seem to realise how their service... More

Amazing location for recovery BBQ after a wedding.... However management did their best to ruin it by charging us £400 to get 15 more clean plates and my beautiful wife was told in no uncertain terms she could NOT give guests any wedding cake! Quite short sighted given we had spent about £6,000 that day! Customer service very low on... More

Like other reviewers, we travelled here based on the award of 'Best Country Pub' (GPG 2012). Fantastic location, beautiful grounds but we were turned away on a Sunday at 1:30pm as the kitchen was closed from being too busy. The place was certainly not heaving, inside was empty and there were plenty of free tables outside - maybe just bad... More

Spent a pleasant Saturday night in one of the suites with a fun Japanese spa bath. The room was well designed with a lovely outlook. It was great to secure a one night booking, not always easy in the southern highlands. Had an enjoyable dinner in the pub where the atmosphere was convivial. Breakfast in the morning was a meagre... I stayed here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We also ate and drank at the pub the evening we stayed here. Everything we experienced was excellent. The atmosphere at the pub was great, the service was great and the the food was very good too. I had the roast of the day which was a step up from... More

Our group of five had lunch at the Burrawang Village Hotel after reading the SMH good pub guide. We were very disappointed with the food. The food choices on the menu were pretty ordinary so three of us had the duck pizza. The pizzas were very disappointing - the bases were toasted pide bread which had the texture and taste... More
