Thank you for your comments - we too enjoyed your stay. Our rural setting is one of the features of Paheke for our guests and it is only 20 minutes to the delights of the Bay of Islands including fine dining (that is assuming you have not arranged to try our 3 course meal of local produce and wine). The... More

We got married at beautiful Historic Paheke. Juen and Frank are excellent hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had the perfect day. To be honest they really spoiled us. The rooms are all lovely especially the Balcony Room in which we stayed in. The food they prepared for us was fantastic. The grounds are also... More

Thanks for your kind thoughts - we love the weddings held at Paheke and yours was one of the best. Despite a storm causing the plan for the reception to be changed at the last minute everything went very smoothly and a truly beautiful bride and wedding party graced a unique occasion that you planned. May there be many more... More

Had a lovely stay at Paheke about 8 months ago. Have recommended it to many friends since. Was there for work but took my family along too and glad I did as my young son loved the bridge over the river and the large section and tree hut. Fabulous friendly hosts, lovely food, beautiful property, the list is endless! Thank... More

My fiance and I spent two wonderful nights with Juen and Frank. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. There are several fruit trees that you can pick a snack from. They have a BBQ out back that they offer for your use. We found fresh fish and vegetables in the town nearby and took... More

From the minute we arrived at Paheke, Juen and Frank, made us feel like we were at home - so much so I was reminded of trips to see my Aunt and Uncle in the country when I was younger. We´d just spent Christmas and New Years eve away from our families and any twinges of home-sickness were soon forgotten... More

I stayed with my partner and two friends March 2006. It was a real highlight of our trip to NZ and Australia. The house is beautiful. The balcony room my partner and I had was exquisite. Well furnished and lovely views of the garden. Frank, who is a cool Clint Eastwood character served a terrific breakfast ( as we listened... More
