We stay here when ever we go to Roanoke to visit family or to the Civic Center for events.
This hotel has an excellent location downtown and with-in walking distance to nearby attractions. The breakfast is always fully stocked and hot, with a super nice breakfast hostess.
The front desk agent was very welcoming and super friendly with a nice...

I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. THis hotel is quite adequate and very convenient to downtown - not close enough to walk, but a 5 minute drive. Staff here was very friendly and helpful. If you want/expect a better hotel stay at one of the many more expensive hotels in the area, this one is...

This a decent Holiday Inn Express, nothing special nothing terrible, and perfectly located if you're headed to a concert or show at the civic center!
The building itself is older (so the bathrooms are smaller then the newly-built HIEs), but they seem to have renovated it in the not-too-distant past (and the in-room TVs are nice, new LG flatscreens). If...

While on a business trip, my colleagues and I booked two separate rooms here. Booking the rooms was a hassle; since it was a business trip, the company cardholder would not be present and we needed to pay via phone or check. Once worked out, we had no problems with staff or billing. The rooms were average; good size, nice...

This hotel was probably built in the late 70's or 80's and has not been thoroughly remodeled. The room was spacious and the decorations have been updated, but the furniture was old. This hotel is ok if you are staying overnight, but will probably not be suitable for an extended stay. My wife and I stayed here while passing through...

Bit dated and tired. Ok, but could do with a refresh. Ok for a basic overnight though.
Like most hotels this one does not allow smoking in the rooms. What they do allow is for you to go out on the fire escape to smoke (they even provide ashtrays) and then use your key to get back in. Problem, they don't list on the inside that you have to re-enter via the front door after 11:00 pm....

The room was also very clean and had a great tv, and the bed was very comfortable. Really can't say enough about how great the staff was, crystal was very helpful and even made me little goodie bags to...

Stayed here during a 1500 mile trip to Pennsylvania, arriving early evening after a U-Haul breakdown just south of the city. Fairly easy access to the place, about 5 miles or so off of 81.
We had had a very long day and were hungry when we arrived but the options for food weren't the best. Front desk said there...
