i stayed in a caboose and it was adorable. full kitchen, bathroom, deck, fire pit. the location is gorgeous, highly recommend for the fall as leaves are changing - can't beat the virginia mountains in the fall!! there are also cabins to rent, but i did not see inside of any of them. i liked it :-)

Super friendly, really cool train caboose rentals that are really cute inside. But, who has a campground with a pool... and no hot water in the showers?? This is not a fancy campground, but it hits all the right notes. The bathhouse/bathrooms are clean, not immaculate but clean enough that almost anyone would be satisfied. The site for our tent was nice, however keep in mind that it was one of the more "private" of the sites and we could still see our neighboring campers. We have stayed here for the last 3 years - twice in the Cabin and once in the Caboose. The cabin in a good location with a lot of privacy. There is no running water inside or toliet but it's near by.
