The previous ratings are inflated in our opinion. Hotel Planter is a good value, but it's not quite as special as all the 4 and 5 star ratings imply -- although it may be the best value in La Conner. We spent the night at the Hotel Planter and it was lovely. It has been remodeled with such good taste, the staff is very friendly and there is free tea and coffee available all day long. Great get away . The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and very comfortable. Across the steet is a wonderful bakery for breakfast. The best burger and frys are served up at a little tavern about 4 doors down. Enjoy a fabulous getaway in this beautiful little town, you won't be disappointed!
