Bungalow #8 was charming and just the right size. We had room to move around and our dog was comfortable as well. Kitchen well stocked and it was nice to have a dining table to sit at and enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese with bread. We enjoyed the deck on the back side one afternoon (although a... More

We came on a clam digging weekend and had a great time. As we were not able to get out of town as early as we liked we came in after the store had closed and it was very nice that the manager had called and let us know that our key would be in the bungalow. The bed was... More

We had never stayed at the Akari Bungalows before but have made many trips to Long Beach, as it is such a dog friendly town. We tend to stay where we have an ocean view, but our normal spot was full, as we were booking last minute. I'm so glad it was! We stayed in unit 1. It was incredibly... More

Sand in the bed, minimal seating, and no carpeting made our visit with a young child pretty uncomfortable, since the weather was pretty miserable and we didn't have enough places to sit or a floor to lie on, while cooped up indoors. The pet friendly accommodations were a plus and the kitchen in cabin #3 was decently stocked.

We stayed in bungalow #1, which was a large and spacious 1 bedroom and was plenty of space for just the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked and was great to have an oven, full sized refrigerator, and all the cooking utensils needed. The bathroom, however, left a lot to be desired. It was very small and the... Had a great time. We both thought the room was great and very cozy. we are already planning are next trip. very close to the beach as well as the center of town. Its was a perfect weekend getaway. The jetted tub was probably the best part.

A small group of us went down for the night and had a great time. The short walk to the beach is nothing and is well paved which was great as I had a knee brace on. And all the cute shops and yummy food was just one street over, also within walking distance. All in all a nice cabin,... More

Perfect location in Long Beach. It's right next to the main beach entryway and a block off the main road. Walked to the beach several times a day! The bungalow was perfect for a getaway with my dog. The gas fireplace heats up the whole place in minutes, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the futon/couch was also really cozy. Three... More

A nice location that is maintained nicely. The location is right next to the beach and along the main strip of the town. The cottage are older so not perfect, the beds are quiet squeaky and a bit uncomfortable. While the cottages are clean, the "do your dishes" requirement was NOT welcome. I did however enjoy the decor and the... More

Apparently we did not read the website well when we booked, so that is to our fault. We rented a cottage from Akari because it is next door to our friend's place at Akari's main site. What we got was a "condominium" one-half mile away with a front yard that is nothing but a gravel parking lot!It was clean, and... More

We are so sorry that when you read about the Condo on our website, it did not appear clear to you that when choosing it ( the Beach Condo), you would be staying off site, and away from the Bungalows. We work very hard to be very clear on our website, about our facilities, in hopes that we can avoid... More
