My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We like to stay some where downtown, park our car and leave it and only visit shops and restaurants we can walk to and have never visited before. The Governor Hotel is in a good location for this, and we enjoyed our weekend. We stayed in one of the updated... More

My second time. Love the location, beds, rooms and partnership with Harlequin Productions. The suites are larger and face the front. I prefer the quiter lake view North. The free breakfast could use a few more choices and the scrambled eggs refreshed more often. It is good to have though.

My husband and I needed a place to stay in Olympia, WA. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Governor Hotel in downtown to be totally affordable and included a breakfast. We liked the fact that the hotel wasn't totally "glitzed out," but clean, quiet and very comfortable. Our room was one of the newly updated ones and we appreciated... More

We stayed at the Governor Hotel the night of May 24. I'm glad that we got the "newly renovated" room, can't imagine what the rest look like. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and the place was fairly clean. It is just very, very old and tired and the new coat of paint over the top of the... More

We stayed here a few years ago and we not impressed. The rooms were loud and hot. This year was a pleasant surprise. Our room was very comfortable. Temperature was ok, but could have been a little cooler. And the room was very quiet allowing us to get a good night's sleep. And the clerk was great. She had a... More

We stayed at this hotel in August 2012 and the rooms were "mediocre" at best. We decided to give it another try since they upgraded some of their rooms and it was only for one night. I need to add that the "the upgraded room" came with a $30 price tag. The lady at the front desk was very nice... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the updated king room, which had a view of the lake. The room was cozy with interesting pictures of past Washington Governors. Reception was friendly and very helpful on figuring out a place to dine. The building was a mix of history and modern renovations. You couldn't quite tell if they were trying to... More

The hotel upgraded me to a newer remodeled suite. It was fantastic until 5am when garbage trucks were making rounds, very noisy. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. There was a loaf of bread with the bag torn open where people could grab it and make toast. I ended up finding a McDonald's. the front desk staff were friendly and helpful,... More

Customer service was great, but unless you get one of the renovated rooms which are done up in the 60s with new carpeting, new furniture, new coffee makers...... get ready for scratched and dated furniture, brown water stains in the ceiling, faded faded prints, and scratchy bedspreads that have seen better days. Breakfast is included, but it's served buffet-style in... More

My fiance and i visited Olympia overnight and stayed at The Governor Hotel. It was a quick trip but one of the best stays we have ever had at ANY hotel! We upgraded to the Grand King Room (which i highly recommend doing; for a few extra bucks you get a beautifully updated room!) Kris at the Front Desk allowed... More
