We had a great time on our stay. The kids loved the little playground and the River walk. The windows and view was very nice. Seeing the snow line in the morning was beautiful. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

This was our 2nd stay (we came last August). Danielle & Rob provide a haven of rest like no other in their cabins (& TeePee!). We stayed in the Rainer Cabin again as we love having the huge porch & rocking chairs with a backyard and fire pit—the mountains as the backporch view. My girls enjoy the small goldfish pond & fountain just outside the kitchen windows which provides a lovely water sound for evening dinners. There is a grill (made our steaks perfect) and second chimney-style fire place under a shelter with a picnic table for outside barbecuing. Everything is clean and stocked with all necessities (including most toiletries, dish soap/sponge & laundry detergent!). It’s also just a quick stroll from the river that runs behind it. The bushes lining the woods and long driveway were full of huckleberries, black raspberries, thimble berries, blue berries and cherry trees (last August we picked our fill of blackberries). My 10 year old and 1.5 year old daughters delighted in morning berry-picking. They now have chickens near the garden (enclosed & separate); which my kids utterly enjoyed feeding with Danielle. From the garden, we picked lemon balm for evening tea, artichokes and broccoli for dinner, and even snagged a few fresh strawberries. D & R have created a paradise getaway perfect for all ages and especially wonderful for our family of 4. At night, after the kids were snoozing, (we brought our baby monitor cameras) my husband & I enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub just feet away from the cabin. Mt Rainier Nat. Forest is just about 30 mins drive so we took a couple days to hike and sightsee. Packwood, a charming little town 5-10 mins away, offers a few restaurants, a market, & our favorite—a café (The Mountain Goat Café). Danielle & Rob fully furnish the cabins with everything you need (with incredible attention to details) for a cozy getaway as well as a kind and understanding attitude with the focus on providing a place of rest and retreat for their clients. It’s a family-run business (even their teens help in the garden!). We will be back as soon as we can! …

Beautiful! The Rainier cabin was the cabin we spent our four day vaca. It had all we needed, minus the food of course which was close by, with coffee already stocked to get us going in the morning. Apparently the previous owners built the three cabins and the workmanship showed it wasn’t just some build kit. There is a hot tub, which we didn’t use, an outside BBQ and pizza oven, along with picnic table and a beautiful view; just too dang cold to enjoy it this trip. The shower upstairs is rock and a really neat vintage tub downstairs. We are used to a king bed at home but the full size bed was just as welcoming and comfy; it didn’t stop either of us from snoring comfortably. The new owners are truly delightful and if you need anything, are fairly close; less than 15 miles away. I bet during the spring and summer the veggie garden between two of the cabins would probably be vibrant and full. There is an area to sit outside with a fire. I could see the water through the trees, but didn’t want to venture down to it as I was enjoying the cabin. My husband took lots of pics but I didn’t; I will try and update the post later once I get his pics but didn’t want to forget to post. Try it out y’all, it is a beautiful place. …

We stayed in the St Helens cabin from August 31 to September 4, 2017. The cabin has only 2 windows that open in the main part of the cabin. The sleeping loft has no windows that open. There is a window AC unit in the front of the cabin, but it is not enough to cool the kitchen and certainly not the sleeping loft. We were not able to utilize the loft. We thought we paid top dollar for this cabin and could not sleep in it. I think no one should book it in the summer or during warm weather.

We stayed in St. Helen's cabin for 6 days in August and our friends - in Adam's. Both cabins are spacious with fully staffed kitchen, etc. The owner also allowed us to pick vegetables from his garden! So, we had a fresh salad every day. He was very responsive and provided helpful tips as well. Would stay again!

We rented the Mount Adams chalet. Spent the weekend in the mountains. Beautiful view every morning and night. The cabin came fully stocked with spices and tools. Outdoor grill and hot tub. This place is amazing. I will be returning.

My little family of four stayed in the Rainier House at Cowlitz River Cabins for a couple nights recently on a visit to Mt. Rainier National Park. Even though there is so much to see and do in the area, there were times we just wanted to get back to what some called a cabin but we called a true log home. The look and feel of the place was amazing and the decor really pulls it all together. The huge deck was perfect for enjoying the morning scenery from and, thanks to the great weather we had, the covered picnic area was used for multiple meals and even some outdoor card games. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was very relaxing. The cool shower upstairs was something to see too. We also used the wireless internet, the backyard fire pit, and the outdoor hot tub. Would love to come back another time... maybe next time leaving the kids at home.…

Spacious and beautifully crafted, the "luxury" Adams chalet is designed for families looking for relaxation, fun and adventures! We stayed here mid February, and although there was no snow we found plenty to do. The cabin itself is remote, quiet and private considering there were other cabins nearby. The main floor features a master bedroom with ensuite bath consisting of a toilet and stall shower separated from the bedroom by a pocket door. A pedestal sink area is open to the bedroom. We found the faucet handle not screwed on properly, coming off in our hands, and the pedestal sink itself is separated/pulled from the wall and not sealed properly. There is no counter space for toiletries. Plenty of fresh towels provided. There is a hairdryer. The shower provided hot and or cold water and pressure at its own discretion. Shampoo and soap were provided. The queen sized bed in the master room was very uncomfortable for our taste and made a loud squeaky creaking racket at every movement. The kitchen and living areas are an open concept and there is a gas heater as well as a wall heater for warmth. Some pots and pans could use replacing...note we found no waffle iron or griddle or baking sheets. Plenty of drink and flat ware and dishes to be found. There is a large dining table however we were quite concerned as to the sturdiness of the kitchen chairs as they were a little rickety to feel safe to sit in. Living room furniture was a bit dated, (a sunken couch which we discovered was a hideabed and a worn rocker recliner) although decor was charming. It would be helpful to note the location of the board games mentioned on the Note that the one television is upstairs in a sitting area. One suggestion would be to install a flat screen TV downstairs for those mobility challenged with stairs or, for those who wish to watch an alternate program. There is a perfect spot for one. The floor is not carpeted and made of uneven, and in many places, cracked stone which is rather chilly afoot, so slippers or socks in the cooler months are highly recommended. We did not use the hot tub although it looked inviting. We washed all the pot and pans we needed prior to using them as they were sticky and the microwave was dirty inside and out which we opted not to use leaving it as we found it. There are some spices in the cupboard, and coffee and filters are provided. Wifi worked great for our needs. The grounds were tidy and well groomed. Although the issues we found during our stay were minor to some degree, they distracted from the webste description of "luxury cabin " somewhat and certainly seem an easy and affordable fix and improvement to bring it up to that level.…

We stayed in The Rainier cabin and it was amazing! This cabin is a beautiful work of art with so many lovely features. We loved the stone and wood accents. The river rocks shower was a favorite! The back porch overlooks a little meadow clearing with a fire pit which was a peaceful place to relax and listen to the sounds of nature. The water fountain goldfish pond and playground was a favorite with my three-year old son; the hot tub was hubby's. I loved the garden full of fresh veggies. We ate fresh corn and a salad with some of the produce. We walked to the Cowlitz River every morning and evening. One evening we snuck up on a herd of elk. The river trout were huge! We enjoyed sitting on the river's edge, watching them feeding. The cabin is located between Packwood and Randal. There is an IGA in each town. Randal is a little closer but we enjoyed shopping at the IGA market in Packwood and met the owners. It's a charming little store. We did not eat out while staying at the cabin but shopped at the local markets and gleaned from the garden. We ate baked salmon with roasted corn one night and steaks and salad another night. The corn and salad fixings came from the garden! The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked and in need of new pillows but we were so exhausted from hiking Mt. Rainier that we slept well. It truly is a peaceful and lovely little hideaway close to Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. We hope to go back again one day! …

We just loved the Mt Adams chalet which is one of the cabins available : beautiful and quiet surrounding, comfortable, clean and large cabin with 3 separated rooms, full equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and a beautiful garden where you can pick your own veggies! The woods around were also full of blackberries and there's a little trail leading to the river. The hot tub was also just great after long days on Mt Rainier. The cabin is located outside the town of Packwood, it's 10 min. drive the get to the supermarket and the town center. WI-FI worked on/off. We really enjoyed our time at the Mt Adams chalet.
