I had always wanted to go to this lodge, having seen tons of pictures of it over the years in places like Sunset magazine. I love old, historic lodges with big fireplaces, and as such I am willing to put up with a few idiosyncrasies along the way. If you are not, you might not love it here, but I'm... More

We were lucky: we went on days that we absolutely gorgeous, warm, and dry. Lake Quinault was beautiful and had reasonably-priced boats, canoes, kayaks, and other lake rentals. The cabins and rooms are nice compared with other options on the lake. It is very peaceful. I'm kind of an outdoor girl and my husband is more of an indoor cat.... More

We recently stayed at the Lake Quinault Lodge on a stellar weekend, weather-wise. Sunny, clear warm weather (in the high 70's) for three straight days is rare on the Olympic Peninsula, and it was great to see families with young children taking full advantage of the hotel amenities outdoors: big lawn, nice beach(some kids were braving the water), kayak and... I've spent quite a lot of time at Lake Quinault as well as Lake Crescent Lodge While Lake Crescent is a more beautiful lake, over 9 miles of often turquoise waters, lake Quinault in many ways tops Crescent. First it's open all year long, second it's not a National Park and I think perhaps, I'm not sure, is not given... More

After having our wedding at Lake Quinault Lodge, we return every chance we get to enjoy the beauty and quiet. The location is gorgeous, especially on a sunny day, and the lodge is filled with history and warm charm. The fireplace rooms have huge cozy beds and views if the lawn and lake. There are plenty of trails in the... More

This is a classic lodge from the 1920s on a lovely lake -- timbered ceilings and huge fireplace in the lobby, comfy leather sofas, tables with jigsaw puzzles and chess games. It has the feel of being in the mountains, although it is less than 300 feet above sea level. You can hike to waterfalls in the rainforest from trailheads... More

Arriving at Lake Quinault Lodge, my first impression was 'what a relaxing and quiet place'! There were several people spread over the large outside area, sitting in chairs on the beach or on the terrace, reading or just taking in the nice views in the afternoon sun. Some were sitting in the huge lounge in front of the fireplace. And... More

Enjoyed staying at the Lake Quinalt Lodge this past weekend. We had a Lakeside Room with a great view of the lake through the trees. Be aware the the walls have little insulation and sound carries into neighboring rooms easily. We were celebrating the birthday of a friend with the music on quietly and laughing at stories, but were told... More

The Lake Quinault Lodge is a beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant and impressive public rooms. It is surrounded by a wide variety of colorful birds. You have the option of staying in the somewhat spare rooms in the historic lodge or in newer rooms with more amenities. The service is almost always very friendly. Trying the sweet potato pancakes...
