We had a family reunion in Shepherdstown recently, and stayed again at the Thomas Shepherd Inn, where we also stayed in 1988. It is a gem! One of the better Bed and Breakfasts I have stayed at in the area. The only ting I found odd was that the breakfast was an extra $10. Though the breakfast was good, my experience has been that the breakfast is included in the price when staying at a bed and breakfast, not extra.

A nice get-a-way weekend. Attractive room, pleasant guests, good breakfast...just what one wants in a bed and breakfast. Screened in porch, computer, books to read, a nice town in which to stroll and proximity to the C&O canal for walking, jogging, biking.

This is an historic home walking distance from the shops, restaurants and most of the sites in Shepherdstown.
