We got to know Stout's Island Lodge through a Crowd Cut promotion. We paid $154 for 2-nights which included a $30 voucher for the dining room. - When we arrived, we were told we bought a weekday package ... Not a weekend package ... So they uncharged us $10 ... Not a big deal, but they could have told us... More

I cannot say enough good things about Stout's Island Lodge. I am enchanted by the main lodge and the Stout's children's smaller cabins, the boat house, the iron bridge, the small cottage out on the point. If you love history and have an imagination the photo album in the lounge will spark your fascination with how this home served its... More

My husband of nearly 4 years and I were engaged here, while floating one of the beautiful wood-stripped rowboats. I am so honored to have Stout's as a part of our life history. We love our native Wisconsin, and thought this was the most quintessential experience of all time. Our friends spent their honeymoon here and continue to profusely thank... More

We had such a wonderful stay. The receptionist Kim was so happy to inform us of the property. You could really tell that she enjoys her job. The boat driver was very informative about the island. The room had a special charm. The Lodge was very relazing and comfortable. Meals were simple amazing. We will return and plan on telling... More

This place is amazing and I can't imagine people saying anything otherwise. The staff was incredible the food was incredible, the cabin was incredible. Secret places to discover in every corner-the staff sets the stage (fires lit, music playing, etc.) and are then no where to be found in order for you to enjoy the serenity. A truly beautiful place.

My fiancee took me to this Resort/Lodge on it's own private island (!) for a relaxing weekend getaway for our 3rd anniversary. At first I was apprehensive about waiting at the end of this old dock for a pontoon boat to come and whisk us away to an island in the middle of this Wisconsin lake. Once we got there,... More

Just got back from a somewhat relaxing two night stay at Stout's. Apparently, I wasn't thinking or reading their website very well. The first mistake was bringing way too much 'stuff'. After reading some reviews on expensive eating at Stout's, we booked a kitchenette. So, we took breakfast and lunch items for two days. That took up a lot of... More

This was our second time at Stout's Lodge which is a beautiful but rundown resort. We had been there about 20 years ago and there are some new cabins and a co-op/condo project, though it looks much the same as before. It is an unusual place and very different from other resorts. It is quiet with no TV or phones... More

If you want to simply get away from everything....this is the perfect place. Your privacy is respected and trust is never an issue. No keys to any of the rooms! Stay in the Main Lodge or utilize one of the cabins. No television and it is never missed! Walk down the paths and you are greeted with andirondack chairs. Play... More

Stunningly beautiful setting. The old part of the lodge is wonderful. But, the newly renovated cabins are ok. The cabins have absolutely no sound proofing. Unfortunately, they have put 4 units per cabin and if someone is staying in a unit near you, you can hear EVERYTHING. Also, it seems like there is no manager working. The few staff they... More
