Nice hotel, great amenities, comfortable beds, pillows and full breakfast. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I just expected the rooms to be cleaner. Found stray hairs in the bath tub and large crumbs in the beds and between the sheets. Whoever cleaned my room was very lazy and obviously didn't change the sheets. I was not impressed.

I returned to the Hawthorn last week and was pleasantly surprised to see Vicki Koch back. Vicki, as well the rest of the Hawthorn staff go beyond the regular customer service steps. I have no doubts that whatever your needs are, the Hawthorn staff can and will take care of you.

Look out-they now charge a safe fee unless YOU ask them to take it off the bill when checking out! Hotel is very nice, has a kiddie pool attraction, and Roxy the manager & front desk staff were incredibly accommodating. Vintage, the restaurant, is pricey but serves delicious culinary delights.

I booked this hotel though Hotwire and prepaid in full before arrival. When checking in, reception recognized the booking was prepaid, but asked for my credit card number to cover any extra incidental fees (which is a normal practice). I stayed 10 days for the recent EAA event. My room was a good size with a fridge and microwave, but the main issue was the insect infestation.
