This one is way on the south end of Wausau (I believe it is technically in Rothschild.) This was a Comfort Inn until around 2010, when it became an Econo Lodge. Stayed here for one night in October 2011 when taking an early morning flight from entral Wisconsin airport. Room was a reasonable value, clean but older. There are several fast food places near by as well as shopping at Cedar Creek Mall. Breakfast was sparce. There is no shuttle to the airport and a taxi ride is a ridiculous $30.

Front Desk staff was great. Carpet was worn down and dirty, dated decor, Our room was clean however this hotel needs LOTS of updating. nice courtyard.

Stayed here after my son's graduation. Flew out of CWA so this hotel was conveniently located to airport. Close to shopping and movies and Water park. Nice courtyard. The hotel is in a great location. Right off i-39, with a good selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Try out The Bar; good for food and a good selection of beers.
