This is a first rate stay; family warmth and hospitality and the accomodations were amazing! Feel at home atmosphere, cozy and inviting. Can't say enough about the Innkeeper Mike, Really knows how to make his guests feel welcome! Can hardly wait for a chance to come back! Travel frequently and can say without hesitation that this place is topnotch. Doesn't... More

Sylvia, It sure was fun getting to know you guys! And thank you for taking ttime to 'review' us. When I travel, I have yet to find a room quite like our Classic Suites. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Perhaps next time I could show you two around a bit. The Cranberry Capital is a short 13 miles away... More

We're the couple who won the toss on getting the room closest to the bathroom. The rooms are very quiet and neither my husband nor I heard anyone when they needed to get up in the night. With the size of the cabin I was surprised that both bedrooms were very sufficient in size, comfortable, and quiet. Deco is done... More

Karen, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at our Inn. The cabins took on a life of their own when we took out the false ceiling for the vaulted cathedral ceiling. We did the same in the Motel by taking the roof off each wing and gave them 10' ceilings. The Country & Classic Suites... More

On a whim we decided to take last weekend and just get away with friends. We decided on the Tomah area and my wife and I had been to the Lark Inn a few years ago so I suggested that. We booked a 2 bedroom cabin for 2 nights and it was awesome. The room looks just like the picture.... More

Steve, So glad to hear you and yours had a good time with your friends. The weather certainly cooperated. When traveling I have yet to find a 2 bdrm quite like Cabin 36. As you found out, it works great for 2 couples, and family's love it! They can close the second bdrm door and have some privacy while the... More

The Lark Inn is a family owned gem – sort of a throwback (with modern conveniences) to the days when most inns were owned and operated by families who took pride in their lodgings, interest in the comfort and well-being of the guests, and provided a welcoming spot for travelers to find rest. We’ll return to the Lark Inn next... More

Tom, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay as well as your dinner. When taking your reservation, I was happy to find we had a cabin open for that night. They are always in high demand, not only for their uniqueness but their history as well. I also am happy to hear that all the insulation we put in the walls... More

We had the 2 bdrm cabin reserved, but when we arrived the heat wasn't working in the back bdrm. We would have been happy with 2 rooms, but they gave us 2 cabins for no extra charge. They were large and very comfortable. We could have had 2 movies to watch for free. The staff was very friendly and helpful.... More

Maryoke, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It was unfortunate the heat wasn't working in the back bedroom and the fact we had to move you. On the other hand, I let out a sigh of relief to learn it was only a tripped breaker. Glad to hear you still enjoyed your stay in our Historical... More

This was my second visit to Lark Inn and the purpose was a weekend of rest and relaxation. The Lark Inn, its accommodations and staff did not disappoint. Again, had a very comfortable, spotless cabin with all the features one could ask for. The staff working at the General Store (check-in) were welcoming, friendly, and the continental breakfast available for... More

Well welcome back! And thank you for staying with us once again. I love our cabins as well. Something rather interesting - we learned this year that John Dillinger and his gang spent a night in a few of our cabins way back in 1934. Who knows, perhaps more than once. At the time, Highway 12 out front was the... More

I am a full time entertainer and, as such, have stayed in hundreds of hotels and motels throughout the U.S. and Canada. And, like many who travel frequently for business, I instinctively trust the national chains when choosing accommodations. I am very happy that I chose to take a chance on the privately owned Lark Inn during my trip to... More

Tom, thank you for the kind words. It was a pleasure getting to know you and seeing your show. You are truely blessed with a gift and taking full advantage of it. The Tee Pee put you into our "Classic Suites", which are very roomy and warm. I was more than happy to get your computer up to speed and... More

Every time we go up north to Wisconsin I try to time our trip so we can stay at Lark Inn. Love their little log cabins and their cinnamon rolls are great. The cabins and rooms are very clean and well furnished with above average hotel furniture.

SissyD, Thank you for the glowing review. The log cabins are always the first to go. We used to say it was our "best kept secret", but it seems like the secret is out. The log cabins were built in the early 1900's. I'm sure you noticed the pictures on the walls of the old Model A's and Model T's... More

While preparing for several business trips in the Tomah area I started doing my homework researching a place to stay. I actually visited this site and found so many nice reviews that I thought I would plan my first stay at the Lark Inn. Well, I am now on my second stay here and have at least two more stays... More

We booked a cabin for 2 nights and enjoyed our visit. The check-in was easy and we were pleasantly surprised to find you could borrow 2 DVDs a day...their selection was HUGE.
