we loved it! We are from Wyoming and this is what you want if you really want to experience our state. If you want wi-fi and sleek new rooms, then I'd try someplace else. This hotel is an experience that I will never forget and I'll have to go back. We had a nice room in the older section. Period... More

Make sure you know what you want before booking. There is the origional historic hotel, as well as a slightly less historic addition. The origional part is complete with period furniture for a complete historic experiance and all that that entails. The addition is a little newer, but the rooms are small. The hotel has a dining room with great... More

Be aware when you are booking this hotel it is over 100 years old. There are also two types of room. One is a 'historic room' in the old part of the building and secondly there are the more modern rooms in an extension. The historic rooms are quite a bit more expensive. Our room was in the historic section.... More

The Irma is more of an icon and attraction than the place to stay over. The rooms are small, and in need of attention. The greatness of theis place is that it is smack bang in the middel of town and the food is great. All attractions are in close proximity and you can walk around in the main road.... More

This place is like re-living history. The rooms are spacious and reminiscent of the early 19th century but you hear the running water in the plumbing pipes at 5 AM.

I stayed at the Irma Hotel in Cody, WY and found the hotel and my room to be historic, charming and overall very nice. The hotel includes a large dinning area with an extensive menu. There is a very attractive, old, large wooden bar in the restaurant as well. My hotel room was well decorated, very clean and comfortable; however,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Irma this past weekend, and we enjoyed the experience very much. Our reservation was there and ready for us, and the staff, while busy, was very friendly and accomodating. Who cares about free wi-fi - turn off your computer and spend some time with the family. You don't stay at a hotel like... More

We made confirmed reservations to stay at the Irma Hotel. When we arrived to check in we were told they had overbooked and would comp our room at the Cody Motor Lodge which it turns out they also own. We are from Massachusetts and made our plans just so we could stay at the Irma . The Cody Motor Lodge... More

The Irma Hotel in Cody Wyoming is probably one of the biggest tourist traps I've ever stayed at. By tourist trap I mean a place that delivers very little in terms of customer service or care because they know that there will always be people who want to stay at 'Buffalo Bill's Original Hotel'. We stayed in one of the... More

Stayed there one night in August as part of a tour, wished it would have been more. A great, historic hotel, right in town. The rooms are clean, but sized per the period. They do have air conditioning and mine was very clean and with the a/c running, also quite. Out of 15 or so hotels I stayed at during... More
