I don't know why hotel rates are high in Cody during the off season, but they are. We decided on the Beartooth Inn, which was more than we wanted to spend. The front desk staff is fantastic, giving us good recommendations for restaurants and local attractions.

Convient inside and outside doors. Good whirlpool. Decent breakfast, waffle maker, pastries, cereal. Might be different for the summer. Good water pressure, hot water. Beds OK.

We stayed in an extra-large "Family Room" at the Beartooth Inn - it had 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. Loved having the extra space for our family of five!
