We wanted to find a place that was kid friendly, reasonably priced, offered onsite restaurant, and rustic, western feel experience. We were greeted warmly (even though we came in late) and our cabin was wonderful. We stayed in 3 different cabins (our choice) since none were available for three days in a row. The staff offered to move our belongings... More

While we were in Yellowstone National Park in late September 2011 early October 2011 - we stayed at Shoshone Lodge for two nights. (It was just my husband and myself.) It was a perfect place to relax and close enough to get in and out of Yellowstone National Park - real close to the East Entrance. The staff was extremely... More

After years of putting off a cross-country, Griswold trip, the family and I decied to take the plunge last year and set our course for Yellowstone National Park. Acquiring any sort of lodging inside the park itself is nearly impossible (unless you intend to plan at least a year in advance) so we decided to explore alternative options. Coming from... More

This lodge is amazing. Great food! Clean rooms. Nestled in a great nature-filled location just minutes from the East entrance to Yellowstone. You can fall asleep to the sound of the creek the runs behind the cabins if you leave your window open!!! Or enjoy some smores by the campfire each night. They have horseback riding on site. What more... More

it's a few miles out of yellowstone park going to cody; rooms are inside wood house with a porch; tiny bathroom but clean and with everythinh inside; very, very kind owners in a beautiful landscape; western dinner and good breakfast. If you want you can take pleasure of riding horses and go around the close river

We are so glad we found out about this Lodge/Ranch!! We stayed here the last 2 nights we were exploring Yellowstone and absolutely loved it! It is not really in Cody...much closer to Yellowstone (only 3 miles outside the East Entrance to the park) The cabin was completely modern on the inside, though nothing fancy...just really comfortable. We had a... More

We've stayed here for one night as we're heading from Cody to Yellowstone and it was really a great experience. The cabins were very nice, all made of wood, very charming with evrything we needed like a good bed and bathroom (no, no television, but we don't miss that on vacation but in the main house there's a sort of... A cosy cabin, a restaurant serving very good food in the main lodge and a campfire each night - handy for the complimentary marshmallows and chocolate. Staff were excellent. A couple of examples of their customer service: Firstly, we mistimed our arrival back at the lodge one night from Yellowstone, getting back after the restaurant had closed - they opened... More

It's been over a year since we were at Shoshone, but I abso-freaking-loutely loved it! It was my first time to the area and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The cabin we stayed in was small and semi-rustic, exactly as describe. Two beds, TV, bathroom and was all we needed because the relaxation was outside, a bonfire, smores,... More
