We stayed at Signal Mountain Campground for 4 nights. We planned to only stay for 3 but with such a great campsite we opted to stay another night. We had site 15 which is very private and secluded with Amazing views of the Lake and mountains. The area was very dusty but to be expected with the drought in the... More

Due to the tree-cover, the sites on this campground seem more secluded than they really are. It's very near the lake and some sites have better views than others, but overall it was very pleasant. There is a lodge nearby with gas, food, a restaurant, etc. for convenience.

We camped here for two nights after camping for three nights in Yellowstone. I thought the campground manager was friendly and helpful. We arrived about 10AM and had our choice of several sites. Some are level, some are not. Some are more private than others. We picked site #40. Yes - they allow RVS and trailers, but there are only... More

We arrived at the park on Thursday June 28th around 10:30 am. We stopped at the visitor center and they said there were spots still available at Jenny Lake so we skipped the center and rushed up there to find out they were full. We had heard Jenny was the nicest spot for tent camping, as it's only a tent... More

All the campgrounds were pretty packed the week we were there, first week of July. Felt lucky to find a site here. Had looked for a primitive site, but just didn't get to places quick enough. Then we found signal mountain. It's not primitive, but turned out to be what we needed our last night in Wyoming. Our site was... More

We were hoping to camp at Jenny Lake campground, but found the dead trees--from the pine bark beetle--detracted from the original beauty of the campground (sigh...). Instead we opted for the centrally-located Signal Mountain Campground. Great place. Our site looked up at Mount Moran (lovely) but was mercilously hot due to the drought this year (June 2012) and lack of... More

It is not possible to make prior reservations for this campground and it has the reputation of filling up by lunchtime so we felt pleased to snap the last unoccupied site around 3pm. From our observations, people seem to stay here for several nights making it difficult to snare one of the 80 sites if you come late as several... More

I stayed at Signal Mountain Campground for two nights in June (site 26). Some sites are private with views of Jackson Lake and the Tetons (notably sites 11 & 12), while other sites are cramped and exposed. It is a quick walk down to the lake and the Signal Mountain Lodge, which has restaurants, a bar, gift shops, and a... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. It is run by a concession and they look after the site well. The toilets are flush with running water. There are showers about 10 miles away with laundry and free wifi. There is also wifi at the Lodge next door which has a pleasant bar/restaurant if you fancy a change from camp food.... More

We had originally planned to camp at Colter Bay Village, but found this campground instead--- we are so glad. This campground only has 86 sites, vs 350 plus campsites at Colter Bay. The campground was very quiet during our stay. The info we read about in the guide books stated that some of the sites were "small and cramped"... while... More
