We stayed here for two nights in early March, and enjoyed our time very much! A couple of negatives, followed by the positives: - The place is REALLY hard to find in the dark. The driveway is so steep down that headlights won't get you anywhere, so make sure to find this place before dark! There is a sign, but... More

My husband and I stayed at Kona Bayview Inn in February 2013 and had a wonderful time. We drove all around the island over the course of our trip and never saw a better view than the one from Pat's lanai! The location is ideal for local fine dining (i.e., not at the mega resorts) as well as less expensive... More

We had a wonderful experience at this B and B. Pat, our host was very helpful and friendly. Our fellow guest were interesting and fun. The view was spectacular. We had the end room and the lanai was private. The room was roomy and the double shower was fun. The winding road and driveway were an adventure but the view... More

It is hard to come up with sufficient superlatives to properly salute this delightful B & B and the special, truly special, lady who runs it. Obviously, if you're looking for Disney does Hawaii, this is not the place for you. But, if you're looking for quiet calm charm, and warm aloha spirit with several other like minded travelers and... waking up in the morning to the view of the ocean, and all the beautiful colors and tropical landscaping.......and the mouth watering aromas from the kitchen.......heaven. Our room was imaculate, with beautiful furnishings and ocean view from the bed. Breakfast included more varied fruit than I've ever consumed in one meal. Much of it was freshly picked by owner Pat,... More

We have been happy campers at Pats B&B 5 times now with the next visit for 12 days in Nov./Dec. The reasons for returning have beeen stated by other guests but include some of the best snorkeling anywhere just a short drive down the hill. Pat has alwways been a gracious host. The breakfasts she fixes were always very good,... More

This was our first visit to the Big Island. We couldn't have made a better choice than the seven nights we spent at the Kona Bayview Inn. Away from the crowded tourist area, yet close enough to any activities and restaurants, if you want. The room was clean and airy. The breakfasts on the lanai were excellent, with good discussions... We loved our 4 days at the Bayview Inn. Pat is a relaxed and gracious hostess, and her home is perfect for a B&B. Each room has its own entrance and opens onto a common lanai (porch) so it's an easy way to make connections with other guests, while viewing the wonderful view of the sea and Kealakakua Bay. A... Let me preface this review by saying that I've now had the pleasure of staying at Kona Bayview Inn 4 times since 2007. The fact that I keep going back should speak volumes. Let's break this down by each aspect of the stay: Price: You COULD stay in one of the nearby hotels and spend $300+ a night EASILY or... More

Couldn't have asked for more. Centrally located but quiet area. Breakfast was phenomenal, views spectacular, and host was very accomodating. Good deal financially.
