This is as lovely and peaceful as Hawaii can get. The views are amazing, the grounds are amazing, Emily is amazing. We especially enjoyed the gardens. There's a small beach down the road that doesn't get great reviews in any of the books, yet it's perfect because there are just a few sweet people there. The snorkeling is simple there... More

Emily is an amazing innkeeper, we had a wonderful time. Every view from the house is just incredible, it's ~10-15 minutes from Captain cook, right near several coffee tasting places and just up the street from the kayak launch into Kealakekua bay (not far from Place of refuge national monument). On the one day we had to get moving in... More

If you love to vacation away from the resorts, this is the inn for you. It is a beautifully maintained Bed and Breakfast which offers views, gardens and tranquility. Emily, our host, served delicious breakfasts on an open air veranda overlooking the bay. We stayed in the Ali'i suite which is true luxury. With a view of the bay, a... More

This gorgeous B&B is everything that it promises. The rooms are clean and comfortable with easy access to a huge lawn that looks out over Kealakekua Bay. Emily is very nice (even when you show up unannounced several hours early and interrupt an important conference call she's on!) and her breakfasts on the deck are the perfect way to start... More

Where do I start? This was THE best B&B I have ever stayed at. The view of the bay was incredible. The distance from the beach and kayaking was almost non-existent. The breakfasts included fresh fruit from the B&B garden - it was out of this world tasting. In the morning, binoculars are placed on the breakfast table on the... More

Wow is all I can say! This has been one of all time favorite Bed and Breakfast experiences. We like to travel and stay in Bed and Breakfasts because we feel that we get a better feel for an area that if we were to just stay in a hotel. This particular trip to Hawaii my husband had a work... More

My boyfriend and I came to the Big Island to visit my family who live in a neighboring town. We were both hesitant and nervous about staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We are friendly people but didn't know what to expect in such a communal situation...Was it going to be too much interaction? Will our innkeeper be crazy?? Quite... More

A serene escape that truly let me relax. Gorgeous grounds with stunning views of the bay in a gorgeous tropical setting. The accommodations were clean and comfortable with plenty of spaces to lounge, meditate or gather for a chat with friends. I love the bath products! Emily and her staff were all friendly and helpful making great suggestions for activities... More

With a west-facing view of Kealakekua Bay, this beautiful, green-minded B&B with its incredibly friendly and helpful host and staff is a wonderful value. The bay offers the best snorkeling on the Big Island and while having a delicious breakfast on the fabulous balcony overlooking the bay, you can tell if the spinner dolphins are in the bay - if... We are a couple from Germany (32). We came here following a recommendation by a Swedish friend we met on Maui. And we ended up staying seven days instead of the three we had planned with. The best place we have been to on all the islands (and we may mention that we also stayed in all the Hyatt resorts... More
